Fun fact in 2019 Amorphis and Delain toured together in the USA and Canada. The Amorphis drummer had to pul double duty until the Delain drum could get a visa.

This is an awesome band, saw them live and they were great. I agree with another poster, the sound just seems off on this Wacken performance. The stories behind their songs are awesome, basically Finnish folk lore.

I’m always glad I saw the music video before finding this live performance. It’s a great song but this live one doesn’t quite work out. Looks windy as hell though, can’t have been much fun for them on stage.

The studio version is better than the live version. I think if you listen to more of their music you will like them. "Amongst Stars" is a good song to listen to. Take care........... :-)

You need to check out "silver bride". Studio-version or live at the Oulu show. I hope you like it more. It's my favorite band....

Wacken poops their live shoots more often than they should. I saw them live as a festival headliner, and it was genuinely amazing. Their albums are really well produced/mixed so I'm sure you would get a kick out of their studio stuff. My personal favorite is the song "Black River". If I recall correctly, they did out out a live dvd ages ago. I need to check it out and come back to you later.

Got back to you as promised, and retrieved a live link! kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZqcZIWqn8SmbKs The song is "Towards and Against" (a kick fucking ass song, I might add) , and the gig was filmed in 2009 at Club Teatria in Oulu. We're both pretty lucky that this particular clip is a decent compression, those seemed few and far between. But as soon as I'm done uploading the Sentenced DVD I'm gonna get my hands on the Amorphis one.

Sound quality is just bad... It would be so much better to listen officials. Amongst Stars and Silver Bride would be splendid songs to react. Also you should listen The Bee official lyric video.

Hellfest 2018 I found to be a better mix, I'm glad you are checking Amorphis out though!! Tomi's growls give me the chills every time. The Golden Elk is another great song from them.

The song is amazing, but this live is just bad. Everything I've seen from Wacken 2018 is mixed bad, even Nightwish. Also I don't think this song even works so good as live because the delay effect and other studio magic that makes it pretty hard to play live.

As i have heard this song live, i have to disagree. It was great. Now i cant say anything about a live recording, and obviously this wacken one wasn't any good.

Choosing a festival live show is almost always a bad thing, the festival' sound is often really bad. You need to listen the studio version first, then a solo live show. Btw, great band and great song.

The sound is just too compressed. It can be tricky to get it all right when you got only one chance. Most likely it sounded good live but this is for free so...

I really don't like these live concert videos where they use external audio and not internal. In other words, they have not recorded audio direct from the PA/mixer table. When you use external mic for recording, even tho how ever good that mic is, it's always bad idea and amateur move, which gives very bad impression from the band it self.

The mix from some of these wacken TV shows is pretty awful. Lead guitar and vocals are way too high in the mix. Check out the studio version.
