These videos are brilliant. Many of us have bought the Ample Sound guitars because we are not guitarists and therefore we have no idea about the different guitar techniques. The problem is that this makes it difficult for us to program these virtual instruments so that they sound realistic. These videos really help to solve that problem. Many thanks sir.

@@williamknowlands9664 I have been watching "The Ukulele Teacher" (and others). as he goes through a hole song. He keeps the Chords and Strums very basic and easy. Can you do a hole song? I know that you will get hit with a Copyright claim. But it would be worth it, if you did a video on how to play "Can't Help Falling In Love" with Ample M Lite, you will get loads of views... (I would watch it over 1000 times myself :) I like the twenty one pilots (Elvis Cover), Teach me how to make that, and I will learn loads, start to finish.

Modern VST instruments and sample-libraries allows make realistic music in different genres of music. Combination instruments, soundisign and mixing can give you commercial sounf and production. Of corpse, VST instruments is not real, but they have't shortcomings by real-instr recording... Not resonances, trash, 2500hz, room, artefacts and other. You can make music faster and easier

I'm going to have to re-watch your strumming video and pay closer attention. I just got AGM, and I'm a keyboard player who knows nothing about playing guitar. When you clicked on the different chords to play, was there something you did before that to let the software know to play the clicked chords? And how does it know how many measures/time to play each chord? Thank you very much.

This video was quite helpful! I love exploring the world of Virtual Instruments, and Ample Sound has truly captivated -if not reignited my imagination! I'm going to explore the tools, such as the Riffer, and other chordal patterns available in the AGFII, and then try it out with the AGML that I downloaded a few years ago via my DAW's MIDI Items tool. I'm sure it'll work. Right? Wish me luck ... Thanks for sharing these tips -jB

Is there a way to do dotted note strums? I'm trying to program the acoustic guitar for "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" by The Bee Gees, but this plugin looks like it only allows perfect quarter note strums. I guess I can do it live, directly into my DAW.

At about the 7:15 mark you drag notes across to make them longer. Do you have to hold a keyboard button down to do this? I just can’t seem to get them to pull across. And how do you delete them? I can only increase or decrease the volume.

You are so helpful william! I just started with ample sound and I can find all your videos a blessing.. thank you so much ! A question: Do you know if we can change the sound of the guitar in any ample sound vst, I mean can we change(or are there any other) the preset of the guitar from eg. acoustic1 to acoustic2 or so.
@williamknowlands9664
@williamknowlands9664 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Eneksy. If by changing the sound of a VST guitar you mean adjust it slightly so you give the sound more timber, high-end and so on... you definitly can ! In Ample Guitar V3 they give you a preset bank at the top of the Main view. You can choose whatever preset you like the most. Hope it helps :)

M LITE II - Can anyone please tell me how to edit a chord (in strummer)? I'm trying to play a "Dmin9" and although I can pick that name in a slot (& its position), it doesn't sound like it. And manually editing notes on fret do not trigger right. Is this a limitation on Free version?

Hi William. Thanks for all your tutorial videos. How do you create a strumming pattern that can change chord in the middle of a bar? Or change chord in every quarter of a bar? I have a very basic slow song 4/4, 50 bpm; I created a strumming pattern with 2 strums in each bar (first strum at 1.1 and second strum at 1.3), but can’t make it to change chords at bar 1.3. Can you please help reply how you would do this? Thanks in advance.
@williamknowlands9664
@williamknowlands9664 5 жыл бұрын
Hi ProzKhmer ! You shouldn't have difficulties switching chords. In Strum mode, if you draw - say - a C1 at position 1.1 and a C#1 at position 1.2 or 1.3 (or any position), the VST will switch chords. Therefore it is possible to switch chords while strumming the very same pattern. I hope I understood you problem correctly. Tell me if it works :)
@ProzKhmer
@ProzKhmer 5 жыл бұрын
Hi William - This was what I did. I selected a strum pattern (1) on the right and a C chord button (1) on the left. Then I drag and drop into my daw track. I did know that I need to draw any note beside drag and drop. So I must draw notes (at C1 thru B1) in order to create strum if I have more than one chord changes in a bar? Do you have any ebook or a video explaining the keyboard layout of key area and what each key does? I am sorry, I guess I don’t have the basic to start with. But I have learnt a lot from your videos so far.

@@ProzKhmer That sounds similar to the challenges, I faced. What I did in the end is: Sending a pattern from Strummer to Riffer (there's a button for that), then dragging that part from Riffer into my Midi track. That makes it easy to adjust chords by changing notes here and there. Good luck!

hey dude i have the ample guitar LP, and I keep getting the transition squeak noise when I transition the chords (palm muted). I understand this is supposed to add realism, but is there any way to minimize this effect? I can't figure it out, it seems like a built in function that you have no control over
@williamknowlands9664
