Glad you liked it. My buddy loved it and the color matched his real car perfectly

Love the Hasagawa mirror chrome. Sometimes I use the stainless steel for an older look. I don’t use mine like BMF. I cut mine into 1/16th or 3/32nd strips and lay mine down on the trim.👍👍

Nice review of the differences between the two foils. They both clearly have their uses. The model is looking great. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Yes they are both good at what they do. Both would be a great addition to any model makers tool box.

@@onixfieroandscalemodelworks I’ve got the Bare Metal Foil, but I’ve been using Molotov chrome pens and silver Sharpies lately.

That's good to know that it works better in larger areas, looks nice and smooth. Never used it, will have to give it a try.. Thanks!

Thats why i like it over bmf on large areas. It lays smooth. But bmf comforms to odd shapes better.

The vinyl chrome does look fantastic on the window trim!! I've used Bare Metal with good results but it needs to be put on before the clear coat, otherwise it can come off when the model is handled. The end result, perfect!! Full watch and great tutorial brother!!😃👍👍✌️🤙

I dont think ive ever clear coated over bmf. Ive always had good luck with it. I might try and clear over it on the next one. Im curious how it would compare to non cleared. Im going to make sure i have some in stock all the time. Best thing ive ever used for the window trim.

@@onixfieroandscalemodelworks I've never clear coated over bare metal foil but have seen it in Scale Auto. The models I've done the BMF, it comes off easily if rubbed against. Maybe I didn't burnish it well enough though.

I have never cleared over BMF. Never have an issue and been using it forever.

I wonder if it could be heated up with a hair dryer or heat gun to conform around detailed pieces since it's more like a vinyl like you would do if you're vinyl wrapping your car. I might have to give it a try and experiment.

That might be a good idea.

Can it be applied in thin strips instead of covering the area that doesnt require it?
