City and Country Trainz

The differences between urban and rural railroading are pretty significant at times. On one hand, you have fast passenger trains racing through and around cities. On the other, you have slower freight trains trundling over old tracks through and around small towns and villages. Here's a little music video to showcase the way railroading is different around the US' urban and rural regions.

Thank you for getting NJTransit in at 2:07 , pulled by GP40FH-2 no. 4138; an MK-rebuilt cowl unit. This and it’s dozen or so siblings were everyday sights around here for 20+ years, starting in the later 1980’s. 4 or 5 became cores for MP20-B3 switchers, the rest have gone on to other lives elsewhere (?).

It’s an SD45-2 without a cab, being used as a booster unit. Likely because it was involved in a wreck, and rebuilt without its cab.

You can find some cool freeware on Jointed Rail’s website as well as an Army of F units at Trainz Forge’s old and Current website, RRMods also has some SD80MACs, Flamerailzzz Has Amfleets and Viewliners. and the DLS can have some cool Locomotives and Rolling Stock too
