Millions of people have been empowered by Amy Cuddy’s groundbreaking TED talk - the second most-viewed talk in the history of TED - on body language.
The Harvard social psychologist’s research has been covered by NPR, The New York Times, Wired, Fast Company and more. She’s been named a Game Changer by Time, one of 50 Women Who Are Changing the World by Business Insider and a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Now she’s publishing her first book - Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges, in which she explains the science underlying body-mind effects such as ‘power posing,’ and teaches us how to use this science to become self-assured in high pressure moments - job interviews, difficult conversations, speaking up for ourselves and more. She’ll talk with Susan Cain, bestselling author of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking.

Why am I just finding out about this woman?! This is one of the most authentic conversations from an expert I've ever seen. I appreciate Amy's engagement with the audience, her thoughtfulness, and not caring about speaking the perfect answers. She was very present and just being herself. Thank you for this. I will watch more of Amy's videos.

I was nearly 2 grades ahead when I started kindergarten. By 6th grade, I was failing 4 of my 7 classes. My epilepsy/seizures effected my brain. As an adult, I've been told that I do have ADD, but not enough to get help. 2020 is a big year for me.. admit.. investigate... learn... and hopefully, conquer!!!! Quiet (introvert) is okay. I can't wait for my next move!!!!

Remarkable talk! The presence and the authenticity they're talking are very palpable here, not just with the movements, posture and words and stories, but with the quietness and vulnerability they conveyed while talking. I have a long way ahead, but thanks God, I am starting to understand many key elements to live fully, like to realize who I am, to have a presence, to know I'm not going to win all the time, to listen first, and to tell my story (or stories) because it's worth it (among other great lessons told and well explained during the talk). P. S: Stand up straight.

Amy Cuddy exceptionally great in presenting " Powerful Presence", Focus on body language help connect mind to have meaningful conversation, to gain authentic confidence. Lot of insight on the impact of becoming "Powerlessness" which is under the control of individuals and nothing to do with external influence has been explained very well. Charming personality and a great speaker with honest communications to the audience. Thank you so much Amy. It's really interesting to quiet listening to your various videos and I wish to buy the book "Presence"

You're both amazing, I'm really impressed how the way of you used your hands and also combine it with speech change the way we look at you. It makes us looking at our posture automatically and also change it immediately. Super! I'll certainly watch this a couples of times. ;)

I always thought that presence means being in the present, a higher spiritual state that Eckhart Tolle and other gurus talk about. A natural state without mental noise that one can best experience being in nature or by meditating. But the first few minutes of this talk they talk about presence as presenting or representing oneself to others? I really cannot understand, why such distortion of the term. Why would this narrow social definition of the term "presence" be in any way better? They would not be able to talk about this narrow definition of the term in such a way if they would realize the actual meaning of the term.

Humility. Most of the time, we are POSERS. "Love others as you love yourself" works! We need to have a reason to love ourselves, then begin to. Only then can we be humble as we love others in all situations. In this existence, we are simply a speck, on a speck, in a speck, of what we see and understand. Therefore, where do we get our value and significance? Outwardly, we would have to say other specks!. Really? No wonder we are messed up. Then as I searched for more, I learned that the Bible says that The Creator desires a relationship with only one thing they created "in their image", and is in pursuit of that relationship. WOW! That was different themn anything I had ever heard about and religius idea. Right and wrong, god and evil, sure, but this was about a perspective and value. The wild idea that an existance we understand to be unfathomaby huge (billions of light years and mega-energy) was created by an uncreated and eternal entity, is made even more wild when that entity made The Earth and all in it for Humans-made in the image of the entity. Then, throw in lots of other details that shows that the goal of the entity is to have the wiling trust and appreciation of these Humans-made inthe image… , and you crazy. Wait! What is the alternative? Oh, yeah. SPECKS. We specks ate so quick to trust other specks, yet discard this crazy story. When I stopped to really consider The Creator story, and learn about The Pursuit idea, then I found TRUE SIGNIFICANCE. My Creator wants me! …a speck. …every speck. All that is required is that you trust in the very entity that created everything, and you. Give the credit do only to The Source. The result is an eternal relationship with our eternal parents, and whose spirtual DNA we are made with. The only potential loss is in never fully researching The real creator story. I did. I know why I am here, how it all fits, why it happens, where I am going, how I get there, what will happen, and that I do not have the answers. Ask me why the unfathomable is possible.
