I was one of the number there that day. I was 18 at the time - I remember Amy was late to the stage and with her having a very difficult year, a lot of people (myself included) thought she might not show at all. When she did we were just happy to see that she’d turned up - my memory of this gig was always that she “managed to hold it together” - having just discovered it on KZbin I think that assessment still holds. By no means one of her best, but given how difficult that time was for her and her apparent physical fragility, she still managed to deliver some magic. I’m eternally grateful I got to see her live before she passed. RIP Amy. Thank you for the music.

I was there too at 18 years old! I remember her being late. The mass amount of people waiting for her meant other acts got delayed/postponed. I remember the helicopter flying over us bringing her in last minute. I was on a mission that day and saw anyone on main stage early so I could be somewhat up the front because I didn’t want to miss her or be far away from her performance. She was raw and magical. I always come back to this video and pinch myself that I got to see her live. Seeing this comment made my day and really brought me back more to that time. Glad I’m not alone!

Just came across this video, and your comment. I was there too. I remember the apprehension was she going to even show up, and when she did finally come on, the pure joy and roar from the crowd ❤ it wasn't her best performance in hindsight, but for me it was the only one I'd seen of her and I thought she was amazing. But I remember the tabloids absolutely ripping her apart after the fact she was a bit late, her dress straps wouldn't stay up, she did try get the backup boys to help tighten them, made it out her clothes were falling off her onstage, slurred her words etc 😔 so glad we got to see her, I still think she gave a great performance considering her life at the time

She was so incredibly hot looking in 2004. WOW! Then, i saw another video of her from 2007 and she was looking like an addict. What a drastic, sad difference. Poor Amy. I'll admit, i never listened to her because i only heard of her when she was all messed up and because of that, i wrote her off as "unimportant' .When she died and i heard all the fuss about her, i sat and watch some videos and that's when it struck me that she was really a great singer, writer, and person. I cried.

Her voice will forever be one of the best of all time. Despite her troubles and everything she was going through her voice was the shining star and just so strong. This is not an easy thing to do at a live concert! Not many people could pull this off in the state of mind she was in at this time.

There are many things the contributed to her demise and people have been blamed. Her father, Blake, her management. The ultimate reason can be put down as untreated mental illness. Something she refused to admit. Depression is a personal hell. It can't be addressed alone.

Recently finished reading her book, brings new meaning when watching gigs on KZbin to particularly how she was coping from 2007 onward. The difference between Glastonbury 2007 gig & this is incredible. Be warned it’s an emotional roller-coaster of a read. Pretty distressing. xxx

To be more precisely, respectively to correct myself: Although drugs and alcohol have weakened her voice already, Amy´s still delivering another proof of being an exceptional expressive singer (specially once more with her "Back To Black"). And who could ignore how pretty she could be.

Amy at times like this became a public symbol of pain and fu@h^ed up ness. We all feel it and it becomes therapy to see it acted out by some "star." But they are just people too. We should help each other through pain in our societies and not just sit and watch pain explode on the screen like Amy, while hiding each of our own. We, being our societies, need to deal with our pain and each other's better.
