I don't think it was out of line. I think it was the hot topic that was on everyone's mind and that is what interviewers are suppose to ask, the hot button, hot topic questions that is on everyone's minds, but I think it should have been eased into the conversation, instead of asked point blank. I think they didn't have a lot of time for that segment and they were hurling the questions at her and she just wasn't interested.

@lucielienard28235 жыл бұрын
@@panoskalp5770 That's absolute bullshit, an addict doesn't need to be 'encouraged' and Amy didn't give a fuck about what other people thought. Also, if anything pushed her under, it was the constant scrutiny from the press feeding off of her mental health and addiction problems. The question was out of line, you don't question people on their personal struggle at a talk show. I love how Amy reacted, you can see the twinkle in her eyes when she says 'what's drinking gotta do with it', she loved confrontation when necessary and that woman had no right to ask that question.

@Johnj229 жыл бұрын
+qoiiop h Am i dumb for not making the arrogant assumption that if Amy Winehouse struggled in this interview, then it just has to be because of drugs? No i am not. However you could be right, it could have been something in her system that made her feel more awkward, but ive seen this with so many artists, and so many more talk about the artificial superficiality of popular/celebrity culture, some people thrive in this environment and others find it to unnatural, i'd recommenced listening to Russell Brand, Frank Zappa or Jim Carey on these subjects. I am the later of these two feelings (being someone who experienced a very brief and watered down version of 'Stardom' (being a musician) and so with Amy its clear to see, if you are like minded in this way, that she felt uncomfortable with the format that is designed to talk about popular subjects and keep the energy up and act like every other overly confident plastic TV presenter. I have no doubt that this is the main reason she came across a little awkward. Do you realise that many people use drugs to medicate themselves to deal with this type of craziness of modern day life, Also could you imagine her music without the experiences she had, healthy or otherwise. Im not advocating the use of hard drugs daily but i am advocating the freedom for anyone to have ownership over their own mind and their own body. also; how does it make you feel to call someone dumb? Can you be so sure that you have a universal understanding of everyone's situation at any given time? Be careful how your assumptions lead you to treat other people.

The comment that the guy made at 6:30 was really raw and touching. She processed it abruptly because she was annoyed by the interviewers but i hope he knows that what he said is appreciated and I'm glad she was told that while she was still here.

So true. And she did say thanks.. but i dont think she was actually listening or cared at all. Her reaction is almost as if everything *to her* sounds like an attack on her. I dont think she really cared cause this is at the tail end of the US tour, shed been doing this for 2 months or so, everyday.. everyday hearing stuff like that. So easy to tune that out that way even some nice words like those. But i reiterate, she did say thanks.

Amy was a very sensitive person and I know how hard it is for such people to struggle with everyday life, that's why they resort to addiction, because drugs or alcohol help to feel better for a while and anesthetize the constant internal pain ... I have the same thing and I can't even imagine how It was hard for Amy when her every move was recorded by the paparazzi. Her apartment was the only place she could hide. It's so sad and terrifying I love you Amy, my sis 💔😢

@sdr98574 жыл бұрын
She does say that a lot. To me, it’s a fairly non committal answer and it seems to me that she is evading exploring or really talking about her feelings because she probably was very uncomfortable with the fame, adulation and scrutiny. It was part and parcel of being a hugely successful singer in many countries across the globe and she probably didn’t want to go into about how she really felt about it as she didn’t want to offend her record company, management or the fans...

She obviously didn't want to talk about the drugs and alcohol. She is a musician foremost. What was in the public eye all the time is completely different than the music she created. She brought back soul and jazz and inspired so many other artists and people. I wish people focused on her music rather than her personal life. She is a gem and has given so much to music and that's why we have to remember her for her talents and not what the papz said about her
