I'm old enough to be your mother and when I find myself on youtube, I usually watch videos of people my own age. However, I stumbled upon your video a few weeks ago and was hooked. I was shocked to see a young "homemaker' who was truly proud to be a homemaker. I love your simple clean life. I think I commented that you were a breath of fresh air. You are truly a beautiful person inside and out. We live in such a materialistic world and we need to get back to simplicity...what is important. You are very blessed to have figured out what takes many of us decades. God bless you.

Your advice on going on the walk or workout and not worrying about dishes or cleaning the whole house before you take care of you was the best advice on this video. I sometimes feel so bad when things are messy and I feel the need to tidy up first almost like a chore before I'm allowed to workout. This is so true, we just have to get out there and take care of ourselves first.

Amber, I’ve done this a thousand times - clean the kitchen after breakfast first, make one quick phone call first, send one last email first…me first always. I started getting up early to workout so that I do my workout/walk before all else and there are no distractions. It sucks that I’ve started walking when it’s cold outside, but it also helps me bcuz I don’t want to mess up my efforts to wake up early and to rough the cold.

You have such a beautiful smile! Congrats on your weight loss victory! With menopause I became heavier than I’ve ever been and that was scary with both my parents being diabetic. Thankfully my husband and I each lost over 30 pounds over the past 3 months and are learning to make healthier choices. We worked out several times a week but without a healthy diet we were still gaining weight. The things that helped us the most: Zumba dance classes (great cardio as well as fun music and supportive community) cutting out sugar and using stevia instead, keeping a food/sleep/exercise diary to be more intentional, cutting out late night snacking and alcohol, working with a nutritionist on a weekly basis, and dieting together.

This is an excellent video for weight loss compared to all the others I have watched. Being one who has lost weight and dieted, the mention of changing to a healthy way of life is exactly what all of us need to think about when losing weight. Amy Fritz, you are 100% correct, that is the one thing we all should think about to motivate us and it works if you think that way. Excellent video and congratulations on losing weight the best way. People, this is a video to watch.

You look so beautiful and healthy. Thank you for sharing this video. It takes courage to share this. I did this many years ago but after a few years, I had a lot of life changes and got really down and I started to eat to comfort myself. Before I knew it, I gained it all back. So, now I need to start again. I’ve been making excuses all year but I just know for my health more than anything I have to do this. Your video is so encouraging. I remember so clearly that “healthy feeling” you talk about. You’re right - there’s nothing like it. My Dr. Told me I added 20 years to my life! I am going to start again, thank you for the encouragement.

Totally agree with the feeling healthy statement! It’s so true. If I slack for a few days I feel so sluggish and gross. It’s crazy how that works 😮

Thank you for this. About two years ago I went to a holistic doctor and got a stool test and found out I had a bad bacteria in my gut. My primary just kept on telling me to lose weight. Even after some weight loss I was still hurting and feeling all the symtoms. Gut health is so important and nutritious foods help people on that journey. So I was put on a probiotic and prebiotic regiment, ate a lot better and started at 230 and went down to 170! A whole 60 pounds! I felt amazing. Sadly I got excited that I felt amazing and didn't teach myself about how to maintain that weight I had lost. So I started eating all my favorite foods again. I'm 42 now so you can only imagine how hard it is for me. So in a year and a half, while I'm not back at 230, I did gain 30 of those 60 lost and I'm feeling it. Starting my journey once again and this time I'm in no rush. Going to make small changes, prioritize walking and biking, eating better and getting better sleep. I hope I have the strength to do this. 🤞🏼

Thank you, I so enjoy these videos. I’m up to 11 lbs lost in 7 weeks and I feel so much healthier..more energy, my clothes fit better, my back stopped hurting all the time. I joined a weight loss program and paid extra for mental health course pack. You’re so right about taking care of mental health first.. I needed to first understand my behaviors that caused me to overeat regularly in order to change those behaviors.

Yes! A Big Sister you have been!! I found you at the beginning of Oct when I was starting on my journey and I feel like God was involved. After watching and rewatching all of your health journey videos up to that point, It sparked something in me, it seemed to click. You laid out a plan that I felt was no fuss and I could see your journey and knew that it would pay off and it has! I've lost 15 pounds so far. I follow the things you mentioned in your video "how I lost over 80lbs naturally! Great tips, great meals and snack ideas(i need more :), great beauty finds, and home inspo! The whole family loved last weeks Ramen recipe and we are obsessed with the cottage cheese and hot honey breakfast. Thank you for sharing and keep sharing please! You're such an inspiration! xoxo

Your video is so motivating and the advice is very realistic. I have also struggled with weight gain since I was a teenager. Which was due to an enlarged ovarian cyst, forcing my hormones to be out of whack. So it was a unseen medical battle I was losing to. However since recovering from surgery I feel mentally and physically ready to amp up my health journey. So far I'm 13 lbs down over the course of 6 months. That is slow, but its weight down instead of up in years! I will definitely take your wonderful video to heart and prioritize movement. Thank you so much and keep up the awesome uploads 😎

Thanks Amy! I never thought I would gain weight but I am trying to lose 40lbs gained in the last few yrs esp since my dad passed away! It has been just recently I realized I was for the first time in my life at a weight I didn’t feel comfortable with. 177 and it stopped me in my tracks. I thought it was my brother’s scale not working honestly but then I realized wow 😯 I need to lose a good 30lbs at least … to feel closer to my best mid toned weight. I could cry listening to first few mins of this video because I didn’t think I would get to this place in my life where it would be hard for me to keep motivated to get the weight off. I really do believe a lot is emotions and hormones and watching blood sugar levels for me. I agree feeling toned and healthier is better than a number on a scale. Sometimes though it makes me panic because I haven’t been here before and just don’t want to feel like I’m not in control of it and so I want to gain the confidence of losing 10lbs at a time kinda thing and maintain a best lifestyle of nutrition along the way too and not be hungry but satisfied. Thanks for sharing!
