Hi Mrs Munroe.. You sound really well considering you being dead for more than 50 years.. anyway .. you sound like s genuine fan of the brilliant enigmatic mirs Amy...so I'm gonna tell you my cut on her...ideas lieing in a dungeon London jail in around about 06 ..on one particular afternoon I was kicking back from n my pad...the radio was on most of the night and the following day...I swear I didn't realize I wasn't listening to it until this tune came on.... From Start to finish...ideas like in a trance couldn't believe with I was hearing...I'd never heard something so brand new ..so rare....at this point I had no Idea who it was...ionly knew I had to no more of this sound.... When I later discovered that she was British...I was like. no man....this type of gifted talent...is way way to deep and complexed for the very basic (talent wise) British music industry.....There's no way they can Handle her... that's not to say Britain CA.nt produce talent course they can and they have....but Amy is.nt spice girls or one direction...or Adele.....she was something far far greater....it's like she had the spirit or debt spirits of top of the range jazz singers....of the past... with tip class soul singers.... with a few way above average pop and even reggae artist.....she was a walking mass of pure music which I think might of even scared her.... a talent like that needed nurturing as well as careful management not only as an artist....but as a woman..,...ideas inside when I heard she,d gone....I was pissed... because I can.nt help thinking every time she turned up drunk or stoned at a gig... Or from what I heard she sometimes .did.nt show up for gigs....clear cryl for help were ignored.....they simply could.nt handle this talented woman.... Do so sad

I heard it on Jazz FM, a short lived local radio station that wasn't afraid playing tunes from the local jazz scene. I remember thinking: how nice of them to unearth some long forgotten Dinah Washington gems like this! It took a few months before I learnt that the title is "Take The Box" and the singer is a tiny little 19 yo debutant artist called Amy Winehouse from just up the road. well I listen to Angelina Jordan singing " I put a spell on you" only 8yo and it hit me emotionally. Listen, close your eyes and you'll feel as if you went back in time. How can an 8yo have those feelings and moreover expressing them. Look also her "feeling good" singing it at 10yo. So one should never say there will never be someone like her/him. Only the bad thing is, Angelina went through AGT and now at 18 they are chasing her around, singing in Las Vegas and elsewhere. She will end up to be forgotten, such a shame.

My favorite song on "Frank." The alternative take on the special edition is even better than the one put on the original album.

The conductor of the national youth Jazz orchestra said of Amy’s voice “She was like Billie Holiday... but in tune.” Amy didn’t like that comparison, she preferred Sarah Vaughn or Dinah Washington.

Certainly me. I love this album the most. Amy had the greatest jazz voice in two generations and our greatest ever songwriter and lyricist. She is so very beautiful and healthy in this video. She was only 19 when she composed one of the greatest ever albums. The songs are of such an extraordinarily high quality. She is still the greatest of her genre of music. It was so very sad that she passed away only eight years afterwards. She was so modest, kind hearted and incredibly generous and that is why I love her.

I cry so hard when this woman's voice hits my ears. The Syrapy Majestry in which she delivers the notes so effortlessly. It's truly amazing how this little woman could Bello out lyrics like this and it goes straight to your heart. Her Voice is BIGGER than anything I've ever heard. It goes through walls and you feel it in your gut. Their have been Many great female singers in the past Century, but Nothing Compares to Amy Winehouse, absolutely nobody. God blessed her with a wonderful gift and I'm thankful to have been able to hear her share it with us.I miss her immensely and there Will Never be another human being like her. love you Amy Winehouse.

Her voice, her style, her look no one broke the mold like Amy. No one like her since. How could someone with so much to offer end in such self destruction.

I had no idea she had a music video for this song. This is without a doubt one of her best songs hands down! I have loved this song for years and it will always hold a special place with me along with her other song "Wake Up Alone" . I love her vocals and vocal delivery here definitely a gifted voice for sure! Best, Marvin 😀

I forget she was so young here. same age as me, you never feel how young you are when you're a teenager, do you? I feel like I grew up with Amy. I used to play Frank in the bath all through uni and when she died, I couldn't bear to listen to that amazing for a year. such a loss
