A lot of people on the internet, including you, have this perception that the court systems work in a particular way and it doesn’t. The court does not remove custody from a parent just because they are acting a fool with another adult. If the child is not being physically harmed nor neglected, they stay out of it. Unfortunately, the adults/ parents involved will need to place some boundaries to alleviate this problem. Furthermore, the stepfather can’t do anything but what was done in the video, step aside, unless the child was being physically harmed. He has no legal rights of the child.

I would have as soon as the real Dad stepped away with that child to help ensure the child’s safety but we all know if the stepdad called the police the police would say that is his child and he had a right to take him. Now in the meantime the mother and stepfather need to get a restraining order and a lawyer to establish something legally. Either the real dad needs to be present or go the hell on. Omg… my father did this after my mother’s boyfriend took me to the movies and gave me a cake on my 7th birthday. We start cutting the cake and my father knocks on the door the beats him senseless. Literally broke his arm punching this poor guy. Father got arrested and we never saw the boyfriend him again. That was the only nice guy my mom dated and the next guy beat her. She got sick and died from the stress.
