AN ABSOULTELY AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! | Conquest of Azeroth CLOSED ALPHA | Witch Doctor 1-50

Mcdoubles back again with a brand new video and today we check out the Witch Doctor on Project Ascension's Conquest of Azeroth servers and let me just say - WOW, what a MASSIVE transformation this class has made since the last time I played it!
In this video we check out the Voodoo, Brewing, and Shadowhunting specs and we give a solid compare/contrast to the last video we made for this class where we had some HEAVY criticisms, roughly 8 months ago. The class has come a long way and it personally feels 95% complete to me, which for a closed alpha feels like a win.

​@@WGoated Well... I mean that's complicated lol I like healing. But I also like melee (or mobile/able to move+cast ranged) dps. Utility, mobility, all that kinda stuff is important. Prob not surprising to hear me say I like Monk in modern WoW haha. If DH had a healer spec in current wow, that'd be my dream.

I have a WD healer and I’m having a fucking blast and here’s the thing: I am built entirely different than McWD. I went heavy into potions and leaned far away from the praise ability. There are so many times I just stop casting because everything is fine, I got my potions out and I don’t gotta do squat anymore lmao

Quick tip, cause it looks like you might not know this. If you select the class in the character creation screen, it highlights the races it can be applied to. The currently selected race is also highlighted so just be aware of that when ur looking. I noticed it when making a son of arogal and the blood elf i was on was also highlighted and gave me false hope xD Great videos man I really cant wait for CoA to come out in full swing!

I can imagine with tbc coming out on CoA u will get witch doctor draenei and SoA blood elf. Idk if these class combination makes sense but it would make sense to have the both sides equal in class selection just to not force people into opos faction

@@MrKenedian I'm kinda on the fence with these tbh. The Witchdoctor and SoA are justifiably faction locked imo (lore wise at least) every other class is shared so having only 2 faction locked classes isn't that bad and helps with the factions actually having an identity. Like I said, I'm on the fence. I see pros and cons on both sides and i dunno which would be weightier just yet.

We need an event, maybe a lvl 60 dungeon run competition, maybe a changed raidboss or even pvp. Not leveling but "end game" where we can see the classes at their current alpha peak. Inviting in content creators and players.

Absence of human and undead witch doctors is "exactly how it should be from the lore perspective"? Wowpedia article says otherwise. Love COA and I actually bought it, but not all of the lore-friendly race-class combos are available right now. They need to revisit that with advanced lore in mind

I believe that the bloat caused by on-use talents in the talent trees is excessively high. In my opinion, a more effective approach would be to limit the total number of such talents to six, between both the specialization tree and the class tree. To maintain simplicity and streamline the system, a majority of talents should be passive buffs or abilities that enhance existing skills.

The worst part about witch doctor shadow hunter is the mana management and it's always had this issue. Was hoping they'd fix it by now.. Personally I think they should make some of their melee abilities cost energy

The Dinomancy "spec" feels kinda off from an outsiders perspective, I'd kinda expected it too feel more akin to modern Survival with Bleeds and Special Pet attacks atm it seems like its thematic is tied to its CDs. -Holendear
