An Actual GOOD Low Visibility TROLL Level???

There is a stigma in the Mario Maker 2 community that there is no such thing as a good low visibility level. Talerian is out to prove them (including myself) wrong and make a fantastic TROLL level in the process!

The story is that, in Mario Maker 1, CarlSagan wasn't able to beat the first "Steal From Ruins" level because he softlocked himself. And when he played this level... he ended up softlocking himself again, in a very unprecedented way. And he couldn't beat the level again.

I think the reason some people don't like troll levels is because the name makes it sound like a kaizo hot garbage level, when it should actually be easier than normal levels. Defender actually said that the one thing most forgotten about troll level creation is that the goal is to make the player laugh, and not to anger them.

So, in case you haven't seen CarlSagan_42's video of "Mario steals from ruins", right before the end of the level, Carl had a spike helmet and instead of going through the pipe, tried to find secrets. He planned it poorly, however as he ended up in a softlock with no way to die in the very spot where the recreation of that scene is made in this level. It was at this point that Carl didn't complete the level. If I recall, Carl also found a softlock of which he couldn't die in this level as well, thus quitting yet again. X-D

On the plus side, you missed the final troll that turned fake CP1 into actual CP1, so good job on that! Certain other troll streamers who may or may not go by Carl weren't as lucky.
