This video is for me. I just wish i can have someone give me a mechanic who works on this exact car here in Lagos. I have the 06coupe of this car (it is really a super sweet ride). I've been having several issues recently since an incompetent rewire helped me fix a new gear switch (solenoid). I've decided to park the car at home till i find a God's sent mechanic/rewire for it.

This was my first car too. Very enjoyable to drive (unlike the Corolla) and just as fuel efficient (if not more) as a corolla. Then the dashboard with the digital speedometer was magic

As a former first time owner of this civic, i can approve this video, this car is like the honda version of corolla, fuel economy A1, parts affordable, i learnt how to drive with it too so i have a sentimental attachment to it too, drove mine for 6 years until man had to upgrade based on new heights lol, i even sold it to my mechanic just so i could see her at least once in few months, she is not as fast as my current es350 but she was quick on the road and still had good fuel economy, thanks to the ivtec technology...fantastic car all round....only downside is the tight engine area....your mechanic will complain about having to work in those tight spaces

Same here. I’ve had both as well. Corollas interior is terrible. The worst dashboard in history. And even though it’s extremely reliable, it’s no fun to drive at all. Civics a different matter. It’s just as fuel economical but the acceleration is much better. That digital speedometer go dey ginger you. I did 150 on 3rd mainland.

Pops bought EOD in 2005 or so, that car still in is compound, ko yawo ri, learnt how to drive with that car, I ended up with one myself 2 year ago, I have never experienced any major issue with the car, just service the car and some small repairs like door windows, and to think i travel alot with this car. I think experiences with cars varies from individuals, infact my friends mom has had her 2000 crv for like 15years now, and ko yawo ri. I feel like poor car maintainance culture, substandard parts, semi-technical mechanic and poor roads play a lot of factors. But I dont subscribe to the notion that honda is not a strong car. Go to north america (mexico and the likes) hondas are the most popular cars there.

It depends on your use case and what you use your car for. If you use your car for just daily commute without the need for carrying many passengers then you can easily go for this, it will save you fuel and is much more easier to maintain.

Been driving the 08 european spec for 2yrs plus now. Driving dynamics and steering control is fun... buttt, the problems of this car are weird. But overall, it is a reliable car

@@234drive Tensioner (adjust) and tensioner bolt, Power steering gets stiff and soft at will. Oil leaks from engine even after working on it. Fuel pump issues. The car can like noise! fix the things causing noise and in few weeks, they come back. lol
