@@m4rvinmartian So this gun isn’t a good product just because the guy who designed it showed up to talk about what he made himself? I don’t know if I can go along with that line of thinking. I’d rather have a sample of the product, see how it performs, and them make a judgement. He only has two pistols but they could be very high quality for the price and very well made for what they are. He didn’t try to dazzle us with a bunch of BS. I see so many companies who have reps show up that aren’t the owner. They have multiple models, multiple formats, multiple coatings, multiple paint schemes, multiple engravings, and all of the products are terrible. Glock has been making the same pistol for virtually the entire time they’ve been in business. Gaston Glock used to do this same stuff when he started out if I’m not mistaken.

@@leroyjenkins4811 what he means is that the (not top quality companies) top selling companies that have the money to send someone who has the PR training out instead of sending the guy who knows it the best. You find with a lot of these smaller companies, the engineer comes out if they’re confident in their product. I’ve met a lot of people who designed the firearm and their spouse at industry shows for companies I don’t remember the name of. Products always felt great, very tight and made of good materials, just never what I was exactly interested in and unfortunately I will never find those companies again.

I don't know if you included it due to the various laws that there may be in different European countries(or Italy specifically), but if you plan on exporting these to the U.S., I think most Americans will not like the grip safety, especially if they're looking at this as carry gun, or for home/self defense in general.

That was an intelligent design choice to use glock magazines. An adjustable trigger is also a nice feature. Many Glock knock offs are better than the original. I feel like what he really meant early on when talking about going with a super low bore axis but using a Browning system is that this is a lot more reasonable to produce than something like the Laugo Alien. Sure, it's got a low bore axis but you've got the newfangled piston delayed blowback thing going on. Smart to use Glock sights and magazines with a new baseplate. There's your aftermarket taken care of. Good for him and the other good people at Revo. I wish them much success.
@henrymumford49372 жыл бұрын
The Alien could be far cheaper - there is nothing about the mechanism that is uniquely difficult or expensive to manufacture. Walther makes a gas delayed blowback pistol that costs less than $500. I think that Laugo could achieve a similar build quality and still make a profit at $2500 per unit if made in larger numbers.
@jameshealy45942 жыл бұрын
@@henrymumford4937 Laugo is a much smaller and newer company, they've only really been around for about 5 years and the Alien is their first product - which clearly isn't true of Revo. Nothing you said is wrong, just providing some context for why they might have chosen something they can sell for a high price in small numbers.
