um? she's just saying that she feels thats just in most men and womens nature. it was a bit sexist but at the same time she's older than most of us and just traditional. there's nothing wrong with that and clearly she values her happiness and knows how to get what she wants and can say no. its just about how she works hard in her daily life and would like to relax and let him take the lead in other areas of her life.

Yesss honey. I'm a small business owner and entrepreneur and after being all charge ALL day it's nice to come home and switch roles. To fix his plate, lay out his clothes, rub his back, all that. Serving for our man is often confused with weakness but it's really not. I think it takes more to serve than to receive and always expect.

All females, young and old, it is okay to be either submissive or dominant. All males, young and old, it is okay to be either submissive or dominant. Just make sure in your relationship, you find a partner that is compatible to whatever relationship dynamics the both of you are comfortable with. I'm so sick of these gender stereotypes. If a man is intimidated by a dominant female, and feels as though he "can't be a man," then I guess that proves that naturally men are not more dominant then women. It is all personality traits that either a man or woman can be dominate or submissive. Neither being better or worse, it's all just preference. Our gender roles are taught. And the mentality of people like Tamar, Tamera, etc. who think that a man is "suppose" to lead is a dangerous one to continue to teach to young women (or women in general) . We are teaching our young women that they should play submissive, even in the event if they are natural-born leaders. If that is the case, that men should be in control and dominant, well then there should be no women CEOs, or women in leadership roles in or outside of the home if there is a man employed around, because a "man is suppose to be in control." This is obviously a ridiculous sentiment. I genuinely feel sorry for women who think like this, and hope that the next generation coming up don't share the same belief. I actually hope Tamar doesn't have anymore children (especially not a daughter, from her own mouth she has said she should teach young girls to twerk to fit in with the trend, and now this, encouraging her to be submissive to appease a man) and her departure from this platform will be good for the next generation of women coming up. They won't be influenced to believe that the man "should be the head of the house. And make the final decision in his house." Last time I checked it was 2016. It is not HIS house. A healthy household is one where it is seen as THEIR home, meaning both the man and the woman (in heterosexual relationships). In a healthy relationship, free of abuse and gender role stereotypes, both the man and the woman should feel it is equally either of their homes. Marriage/Relationships are partnerships.

That's what they all say, they end up wishing the man would lead. It sound good on paper, but people are basically going to be similar....it doesn't matter if it is 2080. There will always be gender roles...they might move or change over time but society will always cross them out and put new ones in. You sound passionate, but you are talking about two extremes, in real life there is compromise. Her mentality is not dangerous, it is people like you who think you should impose your ideas on others that are more dangerous(think hitler)....you see what i did there. I just called your opinion dangerous.. You don't have the capacity to determine how young girls will think or should think. you are just doing the same thing you complain society is doing and trying to force your opinion down, while disregarding that people will think in many different ways and come to different conclusions. I happen to like and will go for a man that can lead, an alpha male, a provider and protector. This is coming from a pharmacist in phd research and a woman, with a very dominant personality. Now that you read all of this, can i confess that i did not read all you wrote, only a fair portion, I just needed to tell you that people have different opinions, and we can share them, but no ones opinion is fact, your opinion is not the best way to live life and neither is mine.....

Jeannie is mad hard on herself. She's that type of person who's very gung-ho about getting things done a certain way. It's obviously a great trait but also really harsh on the person herself. Yea, but some women need to know the difference between "a man that's an alpha male" and "a man that is just straight abusive/controlling". Two different things ladies. Don't let him take too much control. Never forget that you are your own person. I agree with Tamera, there is such thing as compromise. I love my man and he is indeed the alpha male. I love when he can take control, but I never let him think that he can just run me. Relationships are pure compromise and about finding a balance. Lol. Some women don't know the difference between "alpha male" & "abusive".

This is so cringeworthy. "U have to submit" never heard bigger bs than that. Like this is teaching sexism to young women. I want to pull their hair out bc theyre trying to make a strong woman, who is proud of being strong submit, and be weaker. This is not a good message for young girls. I'm not even of the minorities you guys are from, but i know, that since u are one of the few shows featuring minority women, a lot of underrepresented young girls look up to you, and you are doing them so wrong by teaching them these stereotypes.

Why are people so butt hurt in the comments because some women choose to let their man lead? I don't care what anyone says, there's nothing sexier to me than a man that knows what he wants and takes charge. There's a difference between being the head of the household and controlling. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be submissive to the RIGHT man.

Jeannie seems like the only one open to self reflection. She wants to know what her flaws are and is willing to hear the hard truth. If she is that honest on the show it seems like her and Freddie probably have some deep conversations - conversations that I cannot imagine Tamar having with Vince or anyone else for that matter. Tamera and Adam probably share a deeper connection than Vince and Tamar, but not like Jeannie and Freddie. This is all in my mind of course. But, like you said, they seem to have a real relationship with understanding and friendship.

Don't understand why there is hate in the comments bc these women want to be in submissive relationships.. It's not setting anyone back "50 years".. They are strong women doing exactly what they want to do. It's all "women need to do exactly why they want! Feminism is about choices!" Until it's something that you don't agree with, then it's passive or being a doormat? 🤔 I thought women were allowed to do what they wanted, SUBMISSION included.

That's awesome! I truly hope that if a burglar were to ever come into your house, you'd have the balls to stand in the forefront and protect your boyfriend/husband instead of the situation being the other way round =) Oh, what's that? Most women don't wanna do that because they think the man should protect the woman? But wait, what about equality? LOL. What a fucking joke. Women want privileges, not equality.
@NakedSnake02
@NakedSnake02 8 жыл бұрын
***** Ohhh, so you're saying that because men have the unfortunate fate of being born in such a way, we're the ones who have to sacrifice our body, limb by limb, just to protect the women around us, while women, just by virtue of being born as females, get to enjoy the luxury of physical security from a man? That sounds awfully equal doesn't it?=D No wonder feminists say that men are privileged in society, despite the fact that men are the ones who lose their lives just to protect the family, the citizens, and the entire fucking nation from harm. Darn, these feminists sure are for equality, aren't they?
@NakedSnake02
@NakedSnake02 8 жыл бұрын
***** I'm aware of that you dumbshit. I'm even educated enough to know that there is a difference between gender equality and gender equity, the latter being a concept that takes into consideration of sexual dimorphism between men and women, while the former doesn't. What I have a problem with is when feminists claim that we should strive for equality as if there aren't any differences between men and women. Men and women do differ, and they differ in strength, aggression, interests, sexual stimulation, etc. Feminists are behaving as if such differences don't exist. They spew out words like 'misogyny' or 'institutional sexism' whenever the results they want out of society are not met instead of considering the fact that the results might be the way it is because men and women are simply different in some ways.
@NakedSnake02
@NakedSnake02 8 жыл бұрын
***** I'm aware of that, but what i'm saying is that its unfair for nature to have made men the stronger ones, and thus, the ones who have to be responsible for women's safety at the expense of losing their lives. If nature has made it unfair for men in some aspects, why is it that feminists are constantly rambling about how men are privileged and women are victims in sociey? Seems to me that women are actually privileged in some regards, and men too are victims, doesn't it? Yet, feminists choose to disregard this idea.

As a latina I don't see anything wrong with submitting to your partner. I think they emphasized that he has to be the right one meaning a great leader. A good head on his shoulders. Submitting doesn't mean disempowering yourself. It simply means giving your partner validity. And equally it is his responsibility to tend to us. Make sure we are happy. As a woman it is our responsibility to choose the right man we are willing to submit to. He has to be worthy of it. He has to prove himself. He has to show he won't abuse it. He has to show he had good intentions all the time. For religious folks, follow the word of God. If he can't honor the word of God, for sure he ain't worthy.

madeyoulook No, I don't have to "shut up." As long as I'm NOT calling Tamar any foul names like she's a whore or anything like that, I can give my opinion. There are a lot of other people in the comment sections of these videos that say far nastier stuff about Tamar in regards to both what I think and just in general. Why is it that when I (someone who has said something completely *TAME* compared to them) comment about her, I am told to shut up and is bashing her? All I said was that she comes after Jeannie. How that's bashing is beyond me. And just a note, if you name call me I *WILL* block you. I won't tolerate being name called when I have not name called anyone else. So why don't you go talk to the *OTHER* people who have been calling her nastier things than I have and worry about them instead of someone who just happens to have a differing opinion?

I didn't agree with this segment like a few others. Some girls like being the beta and that's fine ,but for them to say that women being in control is a bad thing makes me mad. And them trying say that they are the one's really in control but just saying there not to make their men feel good just means that they are in control. In fact why does there have to be an alpha in a relationship. Society is always trying to degrade people with who where's the pants. How about when one of us don't want to make the call the other does and if we both want to make the call we compromise and do this "you have more power so you make the call" game.
@helenatube
@helenatube 8 жыл бұрын
You're on the right track, stay on it. People out here wrangling over who's alpha or beta are focusing their energy on the wrong things. It has been and always will be about compromise. That's how humans have to be if we want to function as social creatures.

i think they're mixing up all these alpha, beta, delta roles with what it means to be appreciated in the household and properly assert yourself. yes, there are obvious dominant and submissive roles in every relationship, but i think what they are failing a bit to acknowledge is the fact that in order for a relationship to function properly both partners should be dominant in certain roles and submissive in others. i am a Christian as well and believe what the Bible says about a man being the head of the household, but that doesn't mean that i don't have a say as well. i can't tell him his job, just like he can't tell me my job. i don't personally believe in an alpha and beta type of relationship, more of an alpha pair relationship with both partners knowing their role and carrying an even weight. i think problems enter into a relationship when one person tries to control everything and attempts to assert their control over every situation, but maybe that's just me.

I don't know why everyone's jumping on Tamar. Jeannie told her own business with her own mouth. There are no puppet strings. Nobody tied her up and made her speak about her issues with Freddie. She's a grown woman. All of them were trying to help her...so, she won't lose her man!

I always got the impression Jeannie is not all that connected to her marrige, and whenever Freddie comes on the show, he is always somewhat passive aggressive when it came to couples topics with Jeannie. When they asked him to mimic Jeannie, the first thing he said was "No, not tonight, I'm tired."

I’m an alpha female on my own 100% but in a relationship I soften up to my man. I like my man to be smart and confident enough to lead, protect and take control. I like to feel safe and secure with my man and knowing he can handle any situation just as much as I can. We can make the best decisions for us together, doesn’t have to be one sided. I’m not trying to be a guys mother so I don’t like having to tell a man what to do all the time. I like a man that already knows what he has to do but willing to take suggestions from his Queen and confident enough to let his Quinn lead sometimes too. Two minds are better than one and two Alpha minds?! If blended with love and respect for each other then that’s a dynamic power couple!
