One quick note regarding the "Exclusive" label: the criteria we were given by HB is that an exclusive product must not be available in other digital storefronts other than our own website (e.g. they are not in {HB competitor here} ). The "Exclusive" label doesn't mean it's a new launch, although most are (since we are also ask to reduce overlap with previous bundles as much as possible, and that usually implies new courses).

If Only Mike actually went though your courses. In 10 years he only did some Godot basics. Is computer or laptop that is using is so old that if cannot run over years in other programs at the same time, maybe one day. Sadly he doesn't seem to have the time to acknowledge your comment.

Hi @Zenva , I noticed that in the preview of "Create a Horror Game in Godot 4", you say it builds on a few courses, including "Inventory and items", but I can't find this in the list of courses. Am I missing something, or could it be added by any chance? Cheers!

@@woutermakkinje4777 those courses are not required in order to complete the Horror Game course, as they cover more in-depth how some of the underlying systems such as the inventory were developed. They are not included in the HB but you always try out the subscription, which is free for 7 days and very fairly priced for all that's included.

If you do a review I don't remember if it was part of a learning pathway but I recommend doing the "Walking simulator", "Inventory System", "Crafting system", "Survival game", "Horror game", :"Combat system". In that order because they start with simple concepts and build on top of them while showing different aspects of working with 3d in godot. Like walking simulator introduces you to area3d,collisions and introduces signals with a touch of UI. Inventory goes more in depth with UI while also introducing custom resources. Crafting system gets more in depth with signals and custom resources etc. Each of the videos was very much designed to work with what you learned in the previous thing.

Maybe not a big deal, but at least 2 of these "exclusive" courses were in the September 2024 "Learn Godot 4.3 - Complete Course Bundle", and a few others were in their previous bundle from July 2024 "Learn GameDev with Godot, Unreal, Unity & GameMaker". I can tell the majority are exclusive to this bundle, but a bunch of them are not. I am getting it anyway, but the "exclusive" part is becoming a gimmick by now.

​@@Zenva Thanks for clarifying. However, the way it is stated at the store leads to the wrong conclusion. Perhaps it could be better (explicitly) explained what that means at the bundle page? To an unsuspecting customer, it's easy to jump to the conclusion that "Exclusive to HB" would mean the item has never been in a previous bundle before - customers care about that. Just a suggestion.

Humble now takes 30% fee minimum, it's impossible to adjust the slider lower - let's start finding alternatives, this high fee practices (especially with much less overhead costs than for example Steam) are unacceptable. These high fees also lead to higher prices for consumers, but mostly hurt creators.

We switched back to dark mode many months ago. The reason we were using light mode was because we used to use dark mode a long time ago, then a ton of angry people kept saying we were not friendly to those with color impairment. So we switched to light mode with the best of intentions. People then said even more horrible things. We decided to run our own accessibility test using the WCAG AA standard, and hold and behold, dark mode was more accessible than light mode all along. That takes us to the present, we have been 100% on dark mode for almost 12 months, and we'll never act on people's comments again without verifying the truth by ourselves. Hope this helps!

Godot docs are pretty good, if requiring thorough reading. But Godot is doable for sure. If you want to, just get going. Intellect helps, but the right mindset and will to finish a product is much more important.

@@pali122 The problem of visual novels is that they are 2d, that mean you can not really see in which engine it was made. Not sure if creators of visual novel would put a godot logo in the starting sequence of the game.. :)

Indeed! But your "babies" comment is still there isn't it?! And my comment wasn't meant to be 'Rage bait' as you so put it! It was a comment out of disappointment because I was trying hard to get ahold of Mike because he DID leave his email address on his channel here. If he really does get that much email.. Then it would be a good idea to remove it then and eliminate confusion on why some people that tried to get ahold of him after several attempts getting the feeling they was being ignored. All I was trying to do is tell him something that might or been of interest to him and others on here is all. But the stupid KZbin algorithm has things locked down so tight and censored that one cannot get anything in edgewise. Thus the frustration in so doing! Hope this sheds some light on my "Rage bait" comment for you! And it's also pretty bad that one has to write such a comment to begin with just to get a response and be acknowledged on it...

Zenva is the worst I ever tried. The quality of the courses sucks, most of the teachers have a really weird accent that makes almost impossible to understand what the hell they are saying I warned you, thank me later when you ask for a refund

Everyone who is considering learning about the Godot Engine should first know that it's not the engine you have been waiting for. It's an engine that keeps you waiting and waiting and it will never arrive. If you are looking for something to throw together quick demo, proof of concept or maybe even simple game jam entry or casual mobile game, then you might want to look into Godot. You can have really rapid development for simple projects. I personally hate linear slideshows so i ended up using it for interactive presentations and visualisations. But for someone who is into deep strategy, rpgs or other kind of complicated genres then Godot is definitely not for you. Unfortunately right now there isn't an engine i have faith in and would recommend with confidence. So yeah, this is not an ad.

@@GoblinArmyInYourWalls It's good that they add new features. While the big engines have lot of bloat, Godot lacks even many essentials. They have catching up to do and sh!tting on their own community isn't going to help them one bit in that department. If anything i would complain about the slow speed of their development process. It's the necessary features that people are still waiting and never receive.
