Cunningham probably could of pulled it off especially wearing all white.
@Jonathan83X
@Jonathan83X 3 жыл бұрын
To this day, it boggles my mind why Cunningham never tried something like that. What did he have to lose? This was a playoff game with everything on the line. It's not like Buddy Ryan could stop him from doing it. The Eagles should have ran numerous trick plays too to really take advantage of the fog. What could the Bears have done to stop it? The fog made it nearly impossible to see, so if they timed it well, they could've had a guy running down the left or right side of field that nobody was paying attention to until it was too late.

@marcuswatson4910
@marcuswatson4910 4 жыл бұрын
CK16 Striker mud bowl is cool but it’s also something a lot of us did as kids once or twice. It’s rained for almost a two days straight one summer and their was already a dirt spot about the size of a wrestling ring in this big field that a church let us play in(really small town) And we just played 3 on 3 tryna get the ball to the either side of the circle. Turned into a literal mud pit after about 30 minutes and our parents all payed to redo the grass there😂we were covered in mud and our feet would sink about a half inch of mud everywhere. So much fun. But this fog weather is something so special that it’s the coolest thing. Literally never happens.

They didn't, at least once in the second half. Several Eagles commentators, in the decades since, have stated that they felt the fog truly shut down the Eagles passing advantage, and that they were screaming to the Commissioner for a postponement. It never came, because there's no real Safety Hazard from fog, and if the conditions favor the rushing game, them's the breaks.

I was at this game. I sat near the goal line on the south end, so I got a good view of the fog when it first rolled in. It came over the south end like a tidal wave. It looked like white smoke more than fog, and after about 30 minutes, we couldn't see anything more than about 50 feet ahead of us. It was surreal. At that point the only way that we knew what was happening in the game was by word of mouth.

I love when it gets foggy in the field, not long ago in practice it was goofy as hell but it wasn’t as cold as other days

There is no way anyone is playing football in this, you can barely see anyone, they are going to be running at no one in this fog. Its really cool that they can see the fog roll in though, I have seen fog before but nothing this intense, fog like this is something I feel like many people dont see often.

What an amazing game this was. There's never been anything like it before and I doubt it'll ever happen again. I'm so glad it happened back then and not now because knowing how soft the NFL is getting, they would have postponed the game because derp... it's too tough for the players to handle. -.- For those who say the Eagles got cheated because of this, I call bull. The Eagles had plenty of chances to score, but didn't. Plus, they didn't even take advantage of the fog with alot of trick plays. That would have been the perfect time to call them because of how hard it was to see. A guy could run a reverse or a flea flicker and very few players would know what had happened until it was too late.

Probably, but knowing the NFL, we'll never get to enjoy it because they're pansies who won't let football be played the way it's supposed to be.

What does how the game was played have to do with the probability of this happening again? The only thing I can see happening is a game being delayed or moved because of weather related reasons. That has nothing to do with how football is played now, it's just player safety. It's not all about you.
