This is a good start; however, what measures are in place to take care of the root problem? Many of these school shooters are bullied students or former students. It is extremely important to make kindness and empathy an integral part of school culture. Children spend a large part of their weeks at school. Building community and fostering a loving and nurturing environment is extremely important for the youngsters' mental health and academic success.

That's not the agenda. Once the USA is disarmed, then the ruling class can bring in their NWO totalitarian Communist rule. Schools will become redundant. Everyone will be under lockdown living in the Metaverse. Rations will be delivered by drones. The dissidents will be used as factory and farm slaves. The schools are now being prepared for future prisoners, and the prisoners will be used for body parts for the elites. Most will be killed off.

Yeah what are we going to do about the dangers of social media and how they affect these kids negatively. The new divisive culture that promotes censorship and things that make no sense like gender identity.

The "bullied student" myth has been debunked. It started on a false premise with Columbine in 1999. Both Klebold and Harris had a steady social group, part time jobs, and one even had a girlfriend. Neither one was "bullied" Nikolas Cruz *was* the school bully at Marjory Stoneman Douglas and was repeatedly disciplined for bullying other students before he was ultimately expelled.

I remember,15 years ago, when I was in high school. The news about US school shootings spread to Europe and we had to discuss what we thought about it. The most common comment was "Even if someone wanted to do a school shooting, where would they find a gun?"

Funny how 50 years ago kids had access to Firearms young adults had access to Firearms plenty of firearms around but we didn't have situations like this. Seems to me we've had a change in people not a change in processes or firearms

As the guy said, teachers didn't sign up for that, no surprise there's a shortage of teachers in the country. All of those hard-to-stomach (or indeed, tragic) security measures wouldn't be even needed, kids would be spared trauma, if only the US wasn't almost completely controlled by the gun industry/lobby, very very sad😔

Honestly I wouldn’t expect something like this for a school in a horror film. The fact this is a real country and real children is just f*cked up. Do they even know what it’s like to live in a country that’s so much safer for their children? Do any of them actually give a sh*t about their own child’s safety?

This is all good but notice that they were never scanned by metal detectors or baggage x-Ray. They just let them in. All the schools have to do is simply copy the model of courts and airports. Courts and airports don’t experience shootings , period. If there is a breach, then the gunfight takes place at the entrance not the classroom.

You have ideas for sources of funding, especially for public schools, we’re all ears. To be frank, I agree though. I just can’t believe schools in this country need this now.

@@BrowncoatGofAZ It’s all going to be up to the state legislature now isn’t it? In my state, some of the districts are buying 90 million dollar football stadiums. It’s always about the money. What about state lottery money? They always have it earmarked for something else. I thought by now after all that has occurred, we would finally get the hint that the threat is not going away. Fact is, were not serious with this yet or we would copy the method that is in place at airports. There is no getting around it.

Should be a metal/gun detector booth before going into where you have driver's checked as gunman can shoot that security, press buttons to get access through next doors. Thank goodness we have not really had this problem in our South African schools.
