Thank you all for the positive response to my video! I know head covering is a controversial topic among modern day Christians, but hopefully my little talk encourages you to do your own study of the Word. I pray that you will be open to what God is teaching us through scripture study, and that ladies reading this consider head covering. I also want to state this: I do NOT believe head covering is going to save me from my sins, just as I do not believe modest dressing will. I simply do these things because I see it as a sign of obedience to God.

Today is my first day intentionally head covering. Thanks for your honesty and your willingness to talk about it. I was convicted to do so after my first time reading 1 Corinthians 11 and I was hesitant to do so out of embarrassment and the fact that I know I'm not nearly as advanced in my walk with the Lord as many people I know and yet they don't do this. However, I decided to go ahead with it after researching and still feeling strongly convicted to do so. I do have to say that it has felt good today! I feel it on my head all the time and it reminds me of all the things i know the Lord would have me do, think and say. It feels very good! I'm a little worried about the pushback from family members and others, but I'm not going to listen to them about the Lord, certainly. Thanks, again

I have been a Christian for about four months now. I jumped right into the head covering in the form of a headband to make it easier to remember that I am to die to my will and put on Christ each day. I am in no way skilled at this yet, but it has been very useful in daily life as a reminder of what things I need to leave behind! I’m the only person I know who does this, so I am grateful for your video and support from the online community! God bless 💕❤️

I attend a church where I may receive negative comments from some. But I know the Lord is the one who brought this up to me. So I must be obedient. Vanity about my hair was a sin I battled. It ended when a thyroid condition caused me to lose lots of it in my 30s. Then as it was growing back, I stopped coloring an discovered it is white. Compliments brought been the vanity. The longer hair is Perceived as feminine. The feminists movement Is a big part of why people Maybe to criticize short hair. I see head covering as a crown for a daughter of the king of the universe, hence physical symbol of a spiritual protection and why a woman was required to remove it during the adultery test in Numbers five. Head covering is like an accountability tool, like tassels were:are for me. I think head covering and modest dress is something that most women resist because of the feminists movement how powerful it is on a spiritual level. I think it is awesome that you wear headcovering and that you grew your hair, it speaks volumes about how blessed your husband is to have you, and how much you love God.

I realize this is an older video, but I just came across it as I've begun my own journey into head covering. Modesty and humility have been on my heart for some time now, and I'm not even sure what exactly it was that flipped the switch in my head to begin this, but for the past week I've been covering my hair, and dressing more modestly - or rather like a lady. I am a Christian, but the model I've been following for dress is more similar to the Jewish Orthodox female dressings for married women (since I am married). So, longer sleeves, layering v-neck tshirts over something that covers up to my collar bone, and I bought a skirt that goes past my knees. Previously I was a jeans/t-shirt girl. 😂 Thank you for sharing this video. It is nice to see I'm not the only one who has come to the same conclusion, through scripture, that modesty and humility are far more valuable than jewels. I've referenced several Bible verses: 1 Peter 3:3, Genesis 24:65, 1 Timothy 2:9-11, Proverbs 31:30, and 1 Corinthians 11. Again, thank you for sharing your story.

Here's some verses in the OT about head covering. Hope these help. Isaiah 47:1-2. Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones and grind flour, "put off your veil", strip off your robe, uncover your legs, pass through the rivers. (So as we can see, even virgins were to keep their heads covered and save their hair for their husbands. Otherwise it is like they are showing all their nakedness). Numbers 5:18. Then the priest shall stand the woman before the LORD, "uncover the woman’s head," and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse. Also Genesis 20:16 says in the Hebrew Then to Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; indeed this is "a covering for her eyes" (to put back on her wedding covering) you before all who are with you and before everybody.” Thus she was rebuked. From what I understand In Genesis 24:65. Rebekah covers herself because the bridal price has already been paid. 2 vrs later we see Isaac take Rebekah bright away into his tent. There was no wedding ceremony. Her covering herself was an outward show of her marriage to Isaac. Since they were married he was allowed to take her right away into his tent and "uncover" her.

Shalom Christina. May the Father bless your heart. I can replate on so much that you have mentioned. Head covering is also considered as a covenant covering.. the Father is our shield our refuge and this is like being under the shadow and wings of the Almighty Abba Father Father YAHWEH. I have been convicted of so many things and yes i came to the terms of being modest yet always felt that something was missing until end of October 2022 i heard it so loud and clear i wont ever forget that night just after we had our scripture reading listening to how Rebecca took her veil and covered herself and than i sudden wind blew through the house and it was quite like feel the breath of Abba clothing me with this veil. I couldn't help but to surrender i knew that was the missing part after the revelation of the pant 👖 in Deuteronomy 22:5 the true heart felt was in Isaiah when the the Father spoke of the nakedness of Yisrael how she had to remove her skirt and veil and really the veil was missing for me and consoling my soul came 1 Corinthians 11. The Father is faithful we are able to all through Yeshua the Messiah who empowers us. This is a true humbling experience and i surrender to my Rock encouragement. Shema from Namibia 🇳🇦 Africa. May the Father bless each and every woman and even thoses who have been said that their womb shaal not bear i DECLARE LIFE LIFE IN ABUNDANCE TO YOUR BODY and the children that you will have will also be fruitful no bareness will transend onto your generations. I was called out publicly for it in church which was so embarrassing, but I didn't let it faze me because you don't know ebay you don't know. Thanks for the encouragement!! The Lord had been putting on my heart months ago to cover my head when I was in deep prayer with Him alone. I didn't think much about wearing it any other time, or even at church. Then the Lord spoke to me about 3 weeks ago and said "step out of my comfort zone". Get up be bold, do not back down. I heard the same message 2 more times from different Believers within a week. I'm pretty introverted but the fire and passion for His Word, He put in me was lit like I have never felt in the 17 years I have been walking as Believer!! I also felt Him leading me to cover my head. As I was researching, reading the Bible and asking the Lord for confirmation. I prayed at night with my children, specifically for protection of the neighborhood we live in. I was always getting nightmares before when I would do this with my head uncovered. That night, no nightmares. Praise the Lord!! Not only that. A well respected pastor/evangelist I had always watched his sermons online. I have never seen his wife. A video came up and him and his wife were answering questions about women's roles in the church. Her head was covered and they addressed the head covering question from the audience!! The Lord reminded me of the 3 dreams he gave me about 5 years ago when I was praying about headcovering. It confirmed what He Has Been saying all these years!! Praise the Lord He is so faithful and patient 🙌

Though I was raised in the 1950s when even Protestant women mostly wore hats or head coverings to church, by the 70s Christian women had essentially abandoned this practice. I was called into pastoral ministry and attended seminary in the 80s. At that time I assumed head coverings were a completely unnecessary thing that were only culturally relevant in the ancient world. I then did a paper on 1Corinthians 11 and was shocked to discover that Paul DID NOT present head coverings as a cultural artifact. I remember presenting my paper to a seminary class and showing them how deep Paul's reasoning was in the nature of humanity and the witness of Scripture. I remember how shocked the class was. It goes without saying that everyone disagreed with me, though they could not dispute my biblical evidence. My point is, for decades I thought I was the only Evangelical Christian that had the haunting sense that we had abandoned God's word and will in this matter. Now I am discovering that there is a revival of interest in head coverings. I believe part of this is due to the attack of Feminism on Orthodox Christianity.

Thank you for this video! I've recently ordered some coverings after studying about it. I really want to do it, but im a bit nervous. I don't want to draw attention to myself, like you were saying and fear like it would convey a differnt message to my church and friends than it would have in the bible- like I'm being too legalistic or am judging them for not. I've ordered bandana type coverings for that reason as well...It would just be so much easier if there was at least one other person in my church doing it haha! This video and your humility has definitely helped so much.

@@ChristinaOurWoodHome It is helpful for sure! I used to have a pixie cut as well, though I had other reasons for having it (former lesbian, wanted to look masculine) and when I started coming back to church and following my faith I did get a little bit of the flack for having short hair, typically in online groups. I decided to grow it out and dress more feminine and modest for several different reasons, but now I have the problem of vanity because I have embraced my naturally curly hair and spend a little too much time on that and making outfits that look nice, sometimes for the wrong reasons like wanting to be complimented.. How did you combat vanity other than covering your head? Have you struggled with vanity in regards to makeup at all like I have?
@ChristinaOurWoodHome5 жыл бұрын
earinggirls I struggled with makeup for a number of years. I no longer wear it (personally I do not think wearing makeup is inherently wrong) and part of the reason is because I felt like I was trying to cover who I am. I have had acne and oily skin for 18 years, so I wore makeup to cover it, but I had to wear a lot to feel attractive. I also wore eye makeup to draw attention to my eyes because I wanted compliments. And honestly, I realized it was becoming an issue of vanity so I just stopped. I got rid of all my makeup and didn't purchase more. In order to fight vanity and feel confident being natural (makeup free and my hair left as is) I did some digging in the Bible to see what traits godly women possess. I am happy to continue chatting with you, so feel free to email me if you'd like (davidswife2574@gmail.com).

Hello sister in Christ! I support you and see you! Thanks for making this video, as well as all other sisters in Christ that are speaking about this. It is Biblical, and not legalistic. We are being obedient to the Holy Spirit as He has spoken to us on this matter in the Bible and in personal revelation. I have received a number of negative comments, surprisingly even by Indian family members, who are very much accustomed to this as a cultural practice. Additionally, I get many looks that are not very nice as well. It is so strange! But I persist, feel protected spiritually, and have done this regularly in public and church consistently for the past 2-3 months. I had already been doing this since being saved when praying on my own as I felt it was the proper way to pray. I feel "naked" without it now. I take any negativity as the enemy being upset with taking the Lord more seriously and becoming more devoted spiritually, both inside and out. I also have stopped wearing makeup (occasional very light powder foundation to cover hyperpigmentation). I think in the west, covering is not common currently, but just know that there are sisters all over the world doing this, and also people of other religions that wear it all the time and get no comments! I grew up as a Sikh and wore this all the time going into a temple as it was EXPECTED so why would I not do it for the true and living God?! There are many ways to do it, too, with a dupatta, with a kerchief, partial/full, with hair up or down, and so many other ways, and it is great to be able to have flexibility. May the Father bless and protect all sisters in Christ who are surrendering to the Lord in this way!

I started covering about 3 years ago and am also in a community that doesn't cover. I struggle with the type of headcovering to wear. One one hand, I feel it is best to not draw attention to myself and I like the wide headbands because they don't stand out as much. They're feminine and beautiful. But on the other hand, I prefer longer styles that cover more hair because I can get wrapped up in how my hair looks under a smaller, cuter cover. If I put my hair up in a muslin scarf, I know it's just a practical, plain piece of fabric with nothing special about it. My hair is covered and becomes less distracting (to myself) in worship. Though I don't want to come across as legalistic or odd, I think such a plain covering could come across as such to those who don't understand. I had to laugh when one of the children in our church was talking to her friend about my covering and informed her, "People used to wear them in the olden days." My Sunday headcover does look a lot like something from The Nativity Story or The Chosen! I like this because it makes me feel tied to an ancient faith and the women before me. But people who only see me on Sundays may not know that my hair is shoulder length and that I don't cover full time. I own pants. And though I don't want to stand out or draw attention to myself, I also shouldn't be afraid to do so if I believe I'm doing what is to the glory of God. I'm at church to step into worship before him. Sometimes I feel self conscious about this and wonder if I'd be better off with a more subtle style because thinking about it too much is also distracting, and I'm not sure which way is more honoring to him. I also feel really guilty when I'm judging the young bass player on the worship team for wearing a fedora. Nice reminder that I'm not any better than he is, though. Thanks for sharing, I know it was posted a while back. It's wonderful to hear other women's journeys!

libbycatherine Thanks for your comment! I truly believe that our motive for covering is more important than the actual style of the covering. If you feel more comfortable in a simple scarf, I think you should wear that. You sound as though you desire to cover not for attention from people, but in obedience to God. ❤️ My simple headband style coverings still spark conversation, and if someone chooses to believe I am legalistic because of it, they are judging me without even talking to me! I believe women are to cover their heads in worship, but I do not judge those who either choose not to or just don't know. I will be praying God strengthens your resolve to keep wearing the headcovering that is best for you and that HE will use your obedience as a testimony to others! In Christ, Christina

Thank you for this video! I really like your approach of making your head covering almost invisible, I agree it is a great way to be modest. I am still praying about this, although partly started to wear it , but because I am most of the time at home. Couple of years ago, I remember how I dismissed this whole movement, because I saw vanity - a lot of women use a lot of make up and blingy earrings to compensate that their hair is not being "done". And a lot of head coverings were so intricate and even difficult to make, so me, seeing that, started to question the spirit behind this and thought... well that doesn't seem modest, if you spend that much time and energy just to be pretty in a headcovering. And another reason - there is literally no one around my friend circle who does this. But well... I might be the first one. I do think the Scripture teaches this pretty clearly. Be blessed, sister!

So sad women made a big deal about hair length, as beautiful as long hair is, it is like cliques in churches that seem to destroy the christian witness to a degree. I Rejoice to see more and more women embracing head covering because it shows how powerfully the holy spirit is moving. I see head covering as a physical symbol of the spiritual protection, and as a crown for daughters of the King of the Universe, hence the protection. I am encouraged to see women like yourself that are rejecting The Jezebel spirit in our culture today. I see modest dress as also ladies kind of protecting themselves from that Jezebel spirit in this culture. Shine on sister. Were most of the groups Torah observant groups that said short hair was a problem? I am so thankful that you didn't completely reject head covering because of those people being judgmental about hair length, so frustrating to see Christian people act like that.

Messianic Hebrew ambassadorship Well said! The groups in question were either just very conservative or legalistic (I doubt they intended to be though).

Christina Our Wood Home if it is a full covering no one would ever know how long a person's hair is, but short hair can make it hard to secure a covering. Many people would say my shoulder length hair is too long for a man, but I don't care, I see it as practical for protecting my neck and ears. So many people focus on religious doctrine instead of relationship. I grow my beard as a symbol of my desire to live a Covenant lifestyle, based on Leviticus 19:27 and how King David's men were shamed by having their beards shaved. The Tzitzyot/tassels of Numbers 15:38-40 and Deuteronomy 22:12 were helpful for me to take thoughts captive better and reminds me of my accountable before Yahweh God for my ambassadorship. I see the Sabbath and holy days of Leviticus 23 as a wedding rehearsal for our wedding to Messiah.

When I first became a Christian it was easy because every woman wore a head covering, no one at my church does.

I understand your concern! I think headcovering can come with a sense of superiority, but it comes down to your reasons for wearing one. Do you think it makes you a better Christian than sisters who don't cover? Personally, I would love to see women go back to the practice of headcovering for corporate worship and scripture study! But I know it is a deeply personal thing, so I don't judge women who don't cover. My advice is to start wearing a covering out of the house, maybe to the grocery store or to check the mail, just to get yourself used to it. When you are ready, wear one to church and come prepared with an answer for the questions. You can say something simple such as "I wear this covering because I believe God wants me to".

Head covering is an issue between God and the wearer. It has only been a problem in church since the woman's lib movement. Right up till the 70s women wore hats to church and no one questioned it. Men always removed their hats in church too. I was drawn to cover way back in the 90s but was actively discouraged /warned off by my then church leadership was they didn't want to encourage it! I'm now in a different church. No one covers, but they are a loving body I'm sure they wont mind if I choose to cover. We will see.

I am looking into head covering because, in my study, I'm leaning that way. I am not convinced that scripture says otherwise. One thing, though, that you touched on briefly... One of my questions is (not just that I'm a bit nervous because no one at my church wears head coverings), but I also don't want to be a distraction. Do many ladies at your church cover their heads? And, when you began, did it make other ladies feel uncomfortable or say things to you?

hello! Currently we are looking for a new church, but at our previous church nobody else wore a headcovering. The style I choose to wear is pretty subtle, in my opinion, so it is not distracting. The reason I chose a headband style is because it is simple and subtle. When I used to work retail a few coworkers asked about it and I gave a simple and short answer. No judgement, no shaming, just sharing my personal beliefs.

Hi Christina🌸 Thank you for sharing. I’m sorry you felt attacked by your short hair. Perhaps they were saying that because it is mentioned in the Head Covering chapter that shaven hair is shameful (by Apostle Paul). This world would not agree with a lot of what Paul said... I don’t think they meant to attack you but to guide you ♥️. I’ve added a lot of videos on head covering on my channel. I think it’s important we know why we are doing it in the first place. We cover because of obedience to God through Scripture... If we cover for any other reason than that, it can be one legalistic and we can become wishy washy in the act of covering. I’ve heard women say not to wear a full covering as to not draw attention to yourself but in the contrary, we are to be a light on a hill. We as Christians will stick out, even if it’s something like you’re the only one in a crowd not gossiping or cursing... you will draw attention to yourself just because you’re different and glory be because by being a light, we draw all men unto HIM. If we hide how are we to do that? It’s not proud to wear a full covering so please do not think that is immodest. It’s actually very modest. Please consider praying about that. God bless your journey 🌸

Vintage Red Rose Hello! It is impossible for me to truly know the intentions behind the comments about my short hair, but I don't believe discouraging a sister from covering because of her lack of hair is helpful. Nor do I think I should have been told I can't cover because short hair is a sin. Overall the experience was not great but it DID cause me to do more research and study. I believe there is no "right" or "wrong" style of headcovering since Scripture does not give us specifics. I choose to wear a headband style because it is comfortable for me and does not attract unwanted attention. I live in a rural, small town where full style coverings are associated with other religions and I do not want to give the impression I am part of them (I have no issue with those religions but they simply are not mine). Since my primary reason for beginning to head cover was to keep my vanity in check, a full style headcovering would have done the opposite. It would have drawn attention to me, and I would have enjoyed it, therefore defeating the purpose for me wearing one. I desire to be modest in dress, behaviour, attitude, and so on, therefore a full headcovering does not fit those parameters for me. Believe it or not, I still draw attention to myself in my long skirts and simple headcoverings! 😉 And while it may not be "proud" to wear a full covering for you, it would be for me, I know myself and I know that I would spend more time arranging a full covering or coordinating it with outfits than I should be. My current style of headcovering WAS prayerfully chosen because and decided upon because it helps control my vain tendencies.

Christina Our Wood Home As I am quite a analytical guy this response will perhaps be in greater detail than you were expecting. Firstly let me say that it’s fabulous in the sight of God and man that you’d go to these measures to please God by obeying the scriptures. Not everyone can do this and it’s very heart warming from a man’s perspective to see it being done. I wouldn’t beat yourself up from realising that you were on a vanity kick because of your beautiful long hair. That’s the way it is. That’s life. You became aware of your vanity which I would think every woman would have but perhaps most aren’t as aware of it. Men are just as vain about a whole raft of things. We have to live with our vanity and hey maybe putting a bag over your head is one way to achieve this. I’m sorry that sounds a little crude. I think covering your head in church does bring a lovely peace and perhaps that’s because your vanity is being prevented from flourishing in that instance. And maybe vanity is somewhat at odds with peace. From my perspective when I see women in church with their heads covered, I interpret it as a humble act, a putting down of oneself, almost a signal to the men that the males are superior. And this settles the men down and calms them hence the peace. However although I would be appreciative of my wife, although I’m now an old man that’s a widower, if she had of wanted to bolster me by permanently wearing a head covering, nevertheless my preference would be for me to forsake that bolstering. I would prefer her to be bolstered by the admiration of her own beautiful hair and I would prefer to see it in all its glory not covered up. Men have to be careful they don’t go overboard in the department of wanting more bolstering than what’s appropriate. Such as those cultures where the women are fully covered with a burka. Yes this does boost the men but it’s much too much. It’s not good for the women. She has to hide her beauty and suffers because of it. A women’s female beauty is her strength. Her hair, her face, her skin, her eyes, her voice, her hands, her femininity. And the knowledge that her beauty far exceeds a man’s, contributes to her happiness along with knowing that men are attracted to them. Hence they are happier than men, and they are meant to be. She makes a happy home and cheers her husband and sons. Don’t forget that Solomon said vanity of vanities. All is vanity. And although you discovered it relating to your long hair and liked getting compliments, which by the way is AOK, but vanity exists right across the board. All is vanity. If you make yourself a plain Jane as an attempt to remove your God given vanity, you’ll inadvertently be denying men the pleasure of your womanly beauty. Ok you don’t want to go overboard but provided you take that time out once a week to keep the sabbath holy by admiring God’s achievements it will keep your own self admiration in check. Anyway that’s some thoughts from a New Zealander.

I know some would agree, and some not, & that is ok ~ btw, where we live, no one wears a head covering either nor modest clothing :( Thanks for this video !! < God Bless : )

Cindy Glass thank you for commenting. I don't tell other women what kind of covering they should wear because I have been on the receiving end of it, and was hurt. If you see your hair as a covering, that makes no difference to me☺️ I think what is more pleasing to God is our desire for obedience to Him❤️

A headcovering / veil in Christianity is meant to cover the hair.

snorty hogbottom Scripture does not specify the dimensions or style of headcovering.

@@ChristinaOurWoodHome 1. "scripture alone" is a doctrine that was inventede by Martin Luther, which I will shortly prove, and 2. pictorial evidence (icons & paintings) exist which go all the way back to the first century which shows women wearing long veils. A good exaqmple of this is paintings of the Virgin Mary. Now here is my evidence that solascriptura is false: The Bible ITSELF Contradicts Luther's doctrine of "scripture alone" (solascriptura) The Bible tells us that the authority is THE CHURCH: ... ● 1 TIMOTHY 3:15 The pillar & foundation of TRUTH is the CHURCH. ● EPHESIANS 3:10 10 His intent was that now, THROUGH THE CHURCH, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, ● 2 THESS 2:15 We are to hold fast to the TRADITIONS we have been given, either by WORD OF MOUTH or by the letter. ● 1 Cor 11:2 I commend you because you remember me in everything, and maintain the TRADITIONS even as I have delivered them to you. ● JOHN 21:25 Jesus said & did Many other things that are too numerous to be recorded in writing. ● HEB 13:17 Obey the eldars in the CHURCH The True Church is a TEACHING Church: (to Teach means to impart knowledge that is not presently know....not in writing) ● JOHN 14:26-31 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall TEACH you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (To TEACH is to impart knowledge that is not presently known....not in writing) ● ACTS 8:31: And he said, HOW CAN I, (understand scripture) EXCEPT SOMEONE SHOULD GUIDE ME? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

snorty hogbottom You are certainly entitled to your opinion, as I am mine. You have obviously put a lot of thought into your opinion, but I will still respectfully disagree and say that headcovering style or dimensions are not outlined in Scripture. I base my lifestyle choices on what I read in the Bible and I believe the act of wearing a headcovering in obedience to God is more important than the actual covering itself.

@@ChristinaOurWoodHome Suit yourself but it isn't my OPINION. I gave biblical proof that "scripture alone" is a false doctrine and I showed historical evidence as well.

@@snortyhogbottomputtingthef7701 Yes, that is true. The bible also says that a woman's hair is her crowning glory and since a woman's hair is so alluring, the purpose of a headcovering is not only for modesty, but also so that it does not distract others in church, especially men

It's not a sin to have short hair as a woman but it's just shameful as it is for a man to have long hair mine is bobbed you can wear long or short but I've been wearing my headcovering for about a year now and I love it thanks for being so honest very interesting testimony.
@ChristinaOurWoodHome3 жыл бұрын
Even the words "short" and "long" are subjective, so I find it hard to say what length is appropriate. In my opinion, our hair should reflect our biological gender and not cause us to be confused for something we are not. Thanks for commenting!

I am very uncomfortable with groups who add more rules to religion. Instead of no, don’t, sinful, etc., religion should free us. Jesus came to free us and here folks add rules. Jesus doesn’t love covered, uncovered, bald, dancers, etc. less. This restrictive stuff keeps our kids from wanting to be religious, and it has nothing to do will loving your neighbor and forgiving everyone. Jesus has a new covenant with us, freeing us from the Old Testament eating rules, etc. Jesus preached love, not what NOT to do.
@ChristinaOurWoodHome3 жыл бұрын
I agree that there is a problem when people try to add rules to the Bible, and that Jesus does free us. However, I would say that the Bible still has rules for Christian living and that we should be doing our best to follow them. Jesus did indeed preach a message of love, but also that we are to repent of sins (Matt.4: 17), deny ourselves to follow Him (Matt. 26: 24-25), to serve God without trying to impress others (Matt. 6:1). He did say we are to love our neighbour but that is not the only thing we are to do. Jesus did not love anyone more or less than others, and I can see how you think the "restrictive stuff" is counterproductive. But if we don't live by certain Biblical restrictions, how are we any different than non Christians? Plenty of non Christians love their neighbour and freely offer forgiveness. My point with this video is not to tell others what to do, but simply to share my own thoughts.

@ Karan Yes JESUS our SAVIOUR has set us free by His Love for us we have to Love Him by obeying Him. He said if you Love me , keep my commandment John 14 : 15 and John 15 : 10 Paul also told us that the true Love of God , Agape Love, would constrain us from doing evil. 2 Corinth 5 : 14 Please don't allow those who believe that a Christian can live anyhow, even worldly without a consequence !!!!!!!!!

I can’t tell you’re wearing one in this video. I wonder where you are in this journey now. I do encourage you to learn more about what modesty means. There is a passage about the wife adorning herself in beautiful linens and purple. It’s not wrong to be beautiful. It’s just wrong to be vein like you said and to show your skin. I have though about vanity, actually. But then it’s not a sin to wear beautiful head coverings or clothing. It’s just wrong to be all about showing off. Then, it’s also not wrong to say he this is me in my new outfit (personal opinion) but I think everyone has to find their happy medium between that and what vanity means to them. But yeah, I get what your saying at the same time. I think the main thing is to not show off the body if it can be helped. Money does play a role in how modest one can be. A woman should be able to feel beautiful, though-not frumpy.

I am wearing a brown lace covering that sits a littler further back on my head. This is the style I prefer. I have done a great deal of study on modesty, and I agree that it is not wrong to be beautiful. I don't believe I said in my video that it is wrong to wear nice clothes or coverings; I think what I wear is nice looking although others certainly disagree and call me frumpy. As for where I am now, I still wear headcoverings🙌🏻

@@ChristinaOurWoodHome I never saw that you responded until now. There was something you had said, but I don’t remember now. I didn’t see another cover. If you feel pretty and your husband thinks so then do what if people call you frumpy.
