Y’all need to stop collecting me with these titles😭😭😭💀 I can already tell I’m going to feel attacked while listening. I’m a 20 year old junior/3rd year university student and the way I’m literally sabotaging myself by not studying. I’m just so unmotivated or lazy I don’t know what’s wrong but I’ve been experiencing a decline in productivity and effectiveness over the past 3 years. This video couldn’t have come at a better time fr.

Awww sis, first of all I empathize with you as I went through something similar myself. Try to take sometime for yourself and if possible get seen by a professional or just talk to someone you trust. Remember that school is hard no matter what you’re studying, your academic journey doesn’t have to model the “standard”, take some time off if need be. God bless you and I hope you can snap back 🤍🤍

I dealt with this too but I deal with major depressive disorder. I recommend reaching out to as many people at your school as possible, professors, counselors, advisors, therapists, anyone. Ask what you should do to deal with it. I know it can be difficult to reach out but the sooner the better

Ok why are y’all all up in my business??? I related so much with this episode! For me I grow up in Nigeria where there was always someone to tell you what, when, how to do everything. And there was always a punishment for not following it. So I never developed SELF discipline or learned to manage my time etc. I’m trying to change but it’s a process!! Thanks for this girls❤️

Loved this episode just wanted to share a point of view. I’ve always struggled with discipline and organising etc I’m the one who has all the note books, plans etc I thought I was just lazy turns I had ADD and didn’t know. Even on medication it’s still not so easy. I’ve reached out to my healthcare professionals for guidance on creating a sustainable routine but nothing has stuck yet. It’s honestly a hard and weird journey for me but I’m not giving up. Sometimes the laziness procrastinations is a medical thing. This is not obviously everyone’s story but there are some of us out there.

Regarding the dilemma on living unimpressive lives, I really think that more often than not, these people who live for the people, give of themselves to the people and go down in history for achieving a certain echelon of greatness, really are just for the people and not for their families and loved ones. It is almost impossible to consistently serve the world on a certain scale and there be enough of you left to give to your family, enough time to make and preserve certain moments and memories. Maybe using examples like MLK and Malcolm X begs the response, “But their time needed it. They and everyone around them had to fight for this cause”. And I agree. But just to put this into today’s perspective, I live in Cameroon and I personally know of a man who just gives and gives, he basically takes care of his whole village because it’s a small village and he turned out to be one of the more successful people from there. So he feels that duty to extend that hand to the rest of the community. It is beyond what one man can do but he takes it on and to do this, he has to work and work and work. When he’s home, he’s exhausted and whatever quality time he can spend with his family is limited. When he’s reenergised, he has to get back to work or attend to someone else’s crisis. The entire town knows him, respects and even loves him. His family is proud of him but the bottom line is that they miss him. He’s in his 70s and he has been working nonstop since he was a teenager. He’s a great man at the end of the day and is living an impressive and impactful life, but not without a personal cost. So it really depends on how you want to see it, and what exactly you recognise your purpose to be. If your purpose is to serve the masses, go ahead 👏🏽. If it is to serve a few, just as wonderful. A positive impact is a positive impact. Thanks 🙏🏽.

This was the one. I’ve loved this podcast for a long time but this episode spoke to me differently. This is what I’m working on. Being a good steward over what I have now, instead of waiting/assuming l’ll do it when I get “there.” Loved that gem: Focus on one and the discipline will spill to the others. Discipline is HARD and it’s necessary. Thank y’all 🦋💡

chilleeeee. this was SO GOOD. i’m actually super encouraged even after being dragged for filth. lol but in all honesty that bit about allowing the discipline we cultivate in one area spill over in other areas was the motivation i needed to hear. for me it’s been physical health! i’ve been saying i’m going to work out more for yeeeaarrs and i always fall off because it’s so overwhelming developing a workout routine. but honestly i think i’ll just start with stretching morning and night then build from there 😭

I loved this vid so much bc I definitely relate to it.. it’s hard for me to want to go and do what Ik I’ll love to do just for the simple fact that I live in a very strict religious household. I cannot wear makeup or certain clothing.. although growing up I’ve always known that I was a artistic creative soul and I want to put my things out there but I am scared of the repercussions.. I am currently working on self discipline by trying to workout 3-4 time a week and get myself out of my household by any means necessary. I would your advice on how to go and have your own place. I also forgot to mention I live in San Francisco one of the most expensive cities😅, so yeah it definitely feels like I do not deserve to live here

Hi sisters, one of the biggest lies, I have discovered that comes from procastination ( Laziness). Is that, at the begining an activity and task is possible to undertake, but the longer we take to do something the more elusive said task/ activity becomes and over time what was very possible becomes impossible.

Girls, your title has an obvious grammatical error. It currently reads: “An Real Honest…” You might want to change it to: “A Real Honest…”, or “An Honest..”
