To the sister who sent the dilemma, take time to forgive yourself, have honest heart-to-hearts with Your Heavenly Father ❤️ He’s not afraid of your questions nor feelings, not matter how ugly or deep they are ✨ Like Renee said, shame & guilt are tactics of the enemy but so is indifference. The more you invest in your relationship & intimacy with God, the more you are sensitive to Him. You’re moved by what moves Him, you’re able to stay away from the wrong things and be drawn to what He loves. It’s not by your power or might but by God’s’, rely on Him. He’s The One who restores, purifies and grants contentment. You’re forever His Baby Girl and He wants the best for you, not as a reward for your actions, but because He’s a Loving Father- never doubt that 💗

Girl, nothing can seperate you from the love of God. So I’d say take a step back to God and he’ll take it from there. A step can be worshipping, listening to sermons, talking to God. Also I feel you should let go of that guy, since you know what you want. Your husband will come and it’ll be worth it. P.S it’s easier said than done, but with the help of God we can do absolutely anything. Sending you lots of love sis

For the sister in dilemma, do not let this one night stand be a defining moment of who you are. What helps maintain abstinence is to avoid alcohol or spaces serving alcohol when I am around the opposite sex. It's harder to maintain our boundaries when your inhibitions are lowered.

Glad for sis with the dilemma update! I recently cut off a situationship and it’s hard but these men aren’t worth the emotional toil and heartache.

To the girl in the dilemma, I want to first send love and prayer your way because I def know what it feels like to think God would answer a prayer of marriage in a certain timeline and it not happen but I recognize that Gods timing is perfect and His rejection is for our protection. I also want to say that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. The feelings of shame is normal but it’s the enemy drawing a wedge between you and God because the truth is whatever feelings you have anger frustration disappointment bitterness He can carry all of it, He just wants you to bring it all to Him. Find a community of friends who can walk through the faith journey with you from prayer, sitting in this with you, sharing hobbies etc. it takes time but it will get better ❤

To my sister who had the dilemma: NOTHING can ever separate you from God. I think Renee hit the nail on the hammer with her points. I will say as a woman going through a divorce from the worldly man I wanted (it’s a long story there)…. I wish I would have waited and trusted God to bring me a Godly husband. I think my advice would be to think about what you want long terms in terms of your family. Does this man align with you in the things you want? I could type all day on my own stumbles but definitely don’t settle love because you don’t have to …. Plus it could do my harm. (I know from experience.)

To the sister with the dilemma, like Courtney and Rene said, do not allow shame and guilt to keep you from returning to God. He is waiting. He wants you to turn around and come back to him and he has offered you grace because he understands the weaknesses of the flesh. Jesus Christ was tempted and he did not sin, and he did so because he did not rely on himself but on strength of his Father. We are to understand that the journey of celibacy and abstinence is not about us but it is about God. Everything we do is, and if it is not, should be about God and to glorify Him. He is the one who will give us the strength to glorify him with everything we do, including abstinence and preserving ourselves and maintaining purity. Lean on God in your lowest and most underserving times and even more in your happiest and exciting times.

Hey sis! I totally get where you're coming from. I went through a similar experience, but let me share a different perspective. When you deepen your relationship with God, your desires start aligning with His. So, eventually, you'll find godly men more appealing. And trust me, God can bring you a perfect, godly man. Don't worry, we've all been through chaos, but this community is here for you. Good luck, sis, and God bless you all! Ps I thought I would share on the point she asked about something along the lines of finding ungodly men more appealing that’s what I’m trying to answer. Love from Kigali!!

A lot of women don’t like taking accountability and I’ve seen my own friends do this. They blame the guys for their own actions and flip the story to make themselves look good. I had a convo with a friend regarding this (mind you I never critique her for years) and after awhile she stop speaking to me.
