I love this! I watch so many golf videos of young lads (and lasses!) smashing a driver 350yards with ease, splitting every fairway and sinking fifteen foot putts like it’s a gimme and I think, “I wish I could do that”. I watch your videos and think, “Yep, that’s more like it. I can definitely do that.”

Best chipper and putter on KZbin James so you'll always cover over the lesser parts of your game which are definitely making vast improvements, just new course struggles we all suffer from, I'm sure you be on it 2nd time round there at Hawarden , a great watch again😊

Hawarden is a lovely interesting course to play, full of features and shape. As a Society We've been there twice in the last 12 months and all thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful venue. As others are saying James, you are being more than a shade harsh on yourself at a unfamiliar course, especially this gem. Keep them coming James, a Real Golfer Channel watched by Real Golfers, always fun.

Cheers Dex, it's definitely a fun course and not a standard parkland track. The view from the 9th tee box was crazy when you realise where you are hitting to! Thanks for watching :-)

Played the course a few weeks ago, and didn't my legs know it! Really interesting watching you play it, making some ofthe same errors made. Like to see you play it again with slightly different strategies. As always, great content and really relevant to us average players.
@notaperfectgolfer34892 жыл бұрын
I was feeling it for a few days after! haha I think it's the type of course that once you have your targets and clubs worked out from the tee it becomes much easier. Just that 4th hole approach seemed unfair as it was blind with no room to miss left or right! Thanks for watching Dave :-)

Not really that bad of round James. I would take 45 in second. Your expectations are probably a little different than mine, Im playing off an 18 right now. I have to say, I am surprised at how far you are hitting your clubs. Its impressive, you seem to be at least a club farther than I am. I have a 4 hybrid (22 degrees) that when I hit solid goes about 180, and on most occasions, you are getting at least 200 out of yours! Nice work!
@notaperfectgolfer34892 жыл бұрын
Cheers Scott, I have worked on that hybrid shot on the range a lot. I kind of sway back off the ball when loading up and then release through much more than my other clubs. It goes about 190-200 yards when I hit it properly and it's my favourite and most reliable club in the bag normally. My distances are here in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWGvk6J-e5yEZ68 for reference. Thanks for watching :-)

You had not played the course before so it’s easy to make mistakes in club selection,using hybrid instead of driver just to be safe on a couple of holes there on the front nine would have been the best thing to do.Still hit some decent shots and putting can always be a bit of a lottery depending on the greens.another enjoyable video and it’s good to see all the different courses you visit,always makes for good viewing.all the best!
@notaperfectgolfer34892 жыл бұрын
Cheers Paul, I should definitely have hit the hybrid on that short par 5. I decided to be a hero and try for the elusive eagle! haha :-) The greens were tough for me to adjust to on this day. The practice putting green was as flat as a pancake, but the course greens had tons of slope on them. Always the way! Thanks for watching

Well done again James. Did I see correct you hit an 8 iron over 170 🤔😯. Can I ask when you hit balls in trees do you ever go and look if you can find it as you seem to just hot 3 off the tee straight away and never say its a provisional m8 . Love watching and thankyou 👍👍
@notaperfectgolfer34892 жыл бұрын
That 8 iron was downhill with dry conditions so it ran out much further than expected. I do look for the balls in the trees but that one went on the railway line I think!

@notaperfectgolfer34892 жыл бұрын
Sometimes worse due to the etiquette and distractions. Sometimes better but it depends on who I'm playing with. I was chatting with a subscriber once on one round and I could barely keep the ball in play lol In the future there will be multiple players on every round I play as I will be abroad and have no option to play alone. I will have to get used to it! Thanks for watching :-)
@neilpeace77342 жыл бұрын
It's amazing how, on a bad day, the shots just fritter away. A 6ft putt that stays on the edge counts just as much as a 260 yard drive. It's infuriating but funny at the same time in a sort of cruelly ironic sort of way. The course looked lovely and a real challenge if you hit left to right shots predominantly.
