An idiot’s guide to a dual battery setup on 4Runner

My quest for redundancy was a long and arduous one, one that finally led me to what I probably should have done a long long time ago - install a proper dual battery setup in my 5th gen Toyota 4Runner. This kit is from SDHQ and yes, you can assemble the kit for somewhat less than what you can actually buy from companies like SDHQ, BUT not much less, and you'll have to figure out all the mechanics and wiring. And speaking of wiring - you'll have to measure, cut and properly do terminal ends on very heavy-gauge wiring - I've been told the cost of the kit alone pays for not having to do this level of wiring (unless of course, you know how to do this - which I don't, clearly).
This was quite an enormous project that took quite a bit of build up to get to - and NEXT I have the install of my new fridge from Dometic, lights from Lightforce, a REMOTE START kit (that I can't live without) and so, Much, MORE.
