Your results are awesome! You had a Spanish ancestor within the last 2 hundred years or so, who came to Mexico or the southwestern United States. Spanish/Iberian people are obviously Europeans, but a lot of them are mixed with a little North African/Middle Eastern genetics. The North Africans, who were Muslim, controlled and governed large parts of Spain from the year 711 to the year 1492! Then, the European Christian Spanish re-gained full control of Spain. So interesting. All the best to you brother from Australia.

Very interesting. In AncestryDNA you got 96% Native American/NA, 2% Spain, 1% Middle East, 1% North Africa, but when you upload to gedmatch, you are closer to 91-94% NA (Amerindian/American+Beringian (in Harappa)+Siberian+E Asian/NE Asian+SEA (Southeast Asian)/SE Asian+ Oceanian/Papuan+ S Asian (in Eurogenes K13; the Oceanian/Papuan are genetically in the big East Eurasian megacluster with Australian Aborigines, AASI aka Ancient Ancestral South Indians, the indigenous mesolithic hunter gathering ancestors of Indians and other South Asians, Hoabinhians/Andamanese, SE Asian Negritos, Jomon, East Asians), 5-8% European, noise levels of Sub Saharan African at 0-1%. It's possible that the Native populations used for some of the indigenous American components in AncestryDNA already have minor European admixture, that's why it hide your additional Euro admixture. Regarding the noticeable Siberian, Beringian you score in these Gedmatch, its because that Athabaskans including Navajo and Northern USA, Canada tribes have recent Siberian gene flow compared to most other Amerindian groups. Most other Native Americans from Mexico downwards will not score this high Siberian/Beringian from the Gedmatch results that I have seen of them.

The Spanish and North African are a very simple explanation. The 2% Spanish comes from Mexico (a Spaniard 150-200 years ago had offspring with one of your ancestors who was an Indigineous Mexican). The North African comes from the Spanish line. The Moors (North African) controlled and occupied Spain for a little over 500 years. Many Spaniards today have a small percentage of Moorish ancestry. The Middle Eastern 1% comes from the Arab/Muslim conquest of Nortb Africa which resulted in the Moors.

Thanks so much for sharing your results. I have Native American, Oceania, and Iberian, and quite a bit of other stuff that isn't showing up in my AncestryDNA test, but it shows up in various other DNA tests. I found out who some of my Native American ancestors were and that the Oceania (Polynesian) came from a few of them also. However, I do not know where my Iberian came from, unless I just haven't found my Iberian ancestor in my family tree, or it could also be mixed in with my Native American ancestors. If that is the case, I will probably never know since there were probably no records of it. I found out that a bunch of my Native American kinfolk (Colbert's, Attakullakulla's, Moytoy's, and others) went on the trail of tears (leaving Alabama, Mississippi, etc.) and ended up in reservations out West (between 1830-1850). I wish more of their descendants would take DNA tests, so I could have a connection to some of them. I've noticed a few Native American cousins here and there on some of the DNA sites, but not many and those cousins don't seem interested in communicating. I wish AncestryDNA would allow for inclusion of the smaller pieces of DNA (that's below 7 or 8 cM) because my Native American DNA is in smaller pieces, because it's as far back as 5th and 6th great grandparents. That's why it isn't showing up on AncestryDNA. I know they want to save database space, but they could always charge a small extra fee and allow for the smaller DNA to be included in our reports. So for those who don't know, if you are showing 1% of something (on AncestryDNA) that means it's at least 7 or 8 cM long (and probably not below 200 SNP). Anything below that get's dropped and not included. So in reality, a person may actually be more than 1% of something and also other dominant DNA is mostly over-bloated (over-calculated) to make up for the non-inclusion of the smaller pieces of DNA that's not in the calculations.

Hello, good results, I also took the DNA test and it came out. 90% Native American North and South America 🌎 10% Asian I was surprised that I wasn't 💯South American😱 that's what my grandparents and parents told me that we were natives of South America, I'm still proud of my origins

Amazing! When I saw your results with Mexico area with 45% then immediately it made sense for me why you have a percentage in Spain and Nothern Africa. Norhtern African people (the "moors") were in Spain for 8 centuries, from 711 to 1492, so there is a lot of African blood in Spain. Then Spanish invaded America and mixed with the native population. I am from Argentina and we are a mix from different countries and natives also, I know that half of my family came from different parts of Spain, and i know that my mother's mother had Northern African blood, but I wonder about the other half. One day I will make the DNA test so find out.

Wow! This is so exciting for you. Keep in mind that the word tribe means same language groups. This is very important to understand the past. We know that there were several trading roads that went from northern Canada to South America through studying anthropology. This is very similar to the Silk Road. This is so exciting for you. Keep in mind, that the more Indigenous American’s that do DNA testing the more accurate your DNA will become. It will become more precise.

Many Spanish Jews fled to Central America after the expulsions in Spain and Portugal (1500-1600s). Many Eastern European Jews fled to North, Central & South America in the late 1800s-early 1900s due to persecution as well.

When you have percentages that small, the closest ancestor who would've been "full" is around seven generations ago. So, like, ONE of your 128 great-great-great-great-great grandparents. The North African and Middle Eastern is also pretty consistent with Spanish, given that Arabs and North Africans inhabited Spain. So, it could also be one Spanish ancestor who had the mix of Spanish, North African and Middle Eastern.

This makes total sense. The Moors from North Africa occupied Spain from 711 to 1501. Many Spanish/Moors fled Spain in the 1500s during the Spanish Inquisition and participated in the Spanish conquest of the indigenous peoples of the southwest US and throughout what is now Mexico and Central America.

I don't know how the youtube algorithm got this video to me but I am so glad it did. First, I have liked and subscribed immediately to support you. I love your genuine, unrehearsed, very real reaction in this video. Amazing. Second, I think the North African, Middle Eastern, and Spanish are all due to small number (possibly just one) ancestor from Spain who would have had children with Natives in Mexico. This is because of the Moors who took over Spain at one point, etc ect. I am the child of a Guyanese man whose family includes Chinese, Portugese, African, and Lokono ancestry from just going back to my great-great grandparents. My mother is half French Canadian and half Jewish. All of these populations show up in my DNA ancestry results. That is why I think your small amount of non-native DNA is from just the Spanish. You were right, "how would the people from those regions make it all the way over?" You, my friend, are as Native as Native can be and that is something which is amazing, and I don't think very common in today's world. I am honored to have found your channel and hope to see more great videos from you in the future.

@Night_Dragon113 жыл бұрын
Not all Japanese have Jomon ancestry but you can tell the difference because some do resemble Native Americans just a little bit, like Yoko Ono, most are pure East Asians, also many Native Soldiers were confused by the Japanese and judged as traitors thinking they were Japanese, a lot were also mistaken for Japanese by the US army and even attacked.

I just posted a comment about your Spanish DNA but forgot to cover the North African and Middle Eastern DNA. Spain was invaded by North Africans and were in Spain for 700 years until 1492. Previously Middle Easterners and North Africans had settled in Spain.
