TESTIMONIALS
‘Started hitting the moves laid out in these courses the very next class...extremely uplifting to have such a quick improvement in my game’ - Houston, TX
‘I’m the only white belt in the academy doing these moves…I’m suddenly competing at a blue belt and above level…thanks Coach Tom’ - LA, California
‘Some of the best strategies you are going to see for control and submission’ - London, UK
‘The detailed way Prof Tom breaks down his moves into the absolute essentials is just next level for me. This is absolute gold‘ - Sydney, Australia
‘Most of the guys at my Academy, have about 60lbs on me, but since purchasing your ‘Kimura Attack system’ and ’14 days’ everything has changed. I feel much more confident, roll better and the guys on the mat have commented on the same. Thanks, Coach Tom’ - Dallas, TX
‘I know you have your names for your courses, but I’ve renamed them the ‘Zero to hero’ courses, I went from getting constantly owned, to now being completely dominant on the mat in no time at all’ - San Diego, California
‘I use the course material heaps, and just recently put it into action at a local comp, walked away with double gold. No one was more surprised than me! - Miami, Florida
‘As a new white belt, these classes have helped me so much, Prof Tom’s technique, the details, and his attitude. I love how Prof. Tom shows the ‘mistakes people make’ and then shows the correct way of doing things. The only one I have ever seen do this’ - New York, New York
Great videos, great instruction. I just watch them for hours…Melbourne, Australia
‘The instructional saved me big time at a recent comp, my opponent was def more experienced, but that was ok, coz I had Prof Tom’s video in my brain. Nailed it and scored gold’ - Colorado, Denver
‘All of it. Everything you show in your awesome videos are now my ‘go to techniques’. Thanks for your vids Prof, Tom’ - Houston, TX

Thank you professor. I've been sober for over 11 year's. No self medicating what so ever. I began my Jiu Jitsu training to enhance my sobriety. At the end of the day. To each their own. As a nurse I would suggest that physically and spiritually it's not a good idea to mess with your endocrine system.

Once, while super stoned, I rolled with my judo friend at a party, and I felt super technical (I shouldn't, I'm just a wb). So when he inevitably threw me on the ground my mind said "easy, just donkey guard RDLR heelhook scissor sweep the leg". I did a butchered DLR sweep, ripped the guys jeans on his crotch and landed him in a pizza while the ladies were watching in horror. 10/10 would roll again.

Professor Tom always exhibits a first class attitude and outlook. In a free society I don’t have a problem with people taking anabolics to look good, but I have a major problem with ped’s to enhance competitive performance. It’s turns one into a liar and a cheat. They dishonor themselves by using such tactics to gain an edge but it really only highlights their inadequacies.
@citizen762
@citizen762 2 жыл бұрын
@The Tide Rises yes, but there is the question of what is easiest to govern. Ban ped’s , which would only require drug testing to validate, or allow substances and then you would have to blood test to prove that the older guys levels are in the zone of the younger guy. I can see that turning into a nightmare. Plus there are people who do not want to take ped’s for long term health reasons, and if they are allowed in competition, would be forced to do so If they want to be competitive.
@citizen762
@citizen762 2 жыл бұрын
@The Tide Rises I’m not here to argue about it but as an example, I sometimes have to compete against 30-50 year-olds who may or may not be on trt. I am 50 years old and not on anything. That isnt fair either. That being said I know a few of my training buddies are on TRT but I never use it as an excuse when they tap me, as a matter fact I never even think about it. I don’t see anything wrong with it, if it’s needed to remain at normal levels. I’m just against the abuse of it when someone takes it to boost the levels above normal for the purpose of performance enhancement when in competitions. I’ve just chosen for myself to not use them.

Strongly agree, thanks for sharing your opinion, steroids can cause physical and mental damage that can sometimes be irreversible. For most the self esteem boost can be the biggest motivator to use these substances. Big fan of your videos!

It speaks to the nature of the person, that they need to be inebriated, by virtue of their regular drug use, in order to participate at life. I've never been able to depend on someone who is high or drunk, pleasant though their character may be. BJJ is a healthy escape from the day-to-day, so why, then, might a fellow need to numb himself with the foggy lens only offer by weed or alcohol? We must also appreciate the character change when a person is high. To quieten or louden or to assume a dull look or become socially stiff is unbecoming of a respectable group, be it at a BJJ school or elsewhere. To inebriate oneself is to give excuse for showing less (or no) shame, and eliminating shame is to remove a necessary virtue in being the best version of yourself, not to mention that people without shame are insufferable in their mannerisms.

im a straight edge guy, so easy question for me. but i like how open minded you answer those questions. i also dont mind people taking something, as long as it does not have an impact on my day at the gym. that being sad, i only met people who smoked before training and the smell was very bad. had to stop training, rolling with these guys (was not the only one). same goes for 2 guys smelling like alcohol

As an academy owner I don't really condone any drugs being taken before training especially mood altering. As for steroids they aren't mood altering generally (dependant on what a person takes and in what amounts) it's mainly personality dependant. If someone is injuring training partners I agree.

As a long time user (and at one time an abuser) of steroids, trust me.... they don’t do a single thing for BJJ 😂 I still get my arse kicked every day in the gym. I’m just “big Chris” who gets his ass kicked. These days I just take testosterone to help with recovery with my weight training, granted they do help with my recovery for BJJ but in no way make me a better BJJ player

@@shawnmccuen6908 entirely depends what you're cycling and how much of it. There is no way an already super fit 175lbs guy that's professor Tom's age can pack on that much muscle in a year. Im not being a jerk or anything but unless he's been that size before and had leaned down to 175, it's just not something that happens.
