pizza is a traditional product and is protected by UNESCO as a world heritage site. therefore it cannot be called pizza if it does not follow dough growth and cooking procedures in a wood oven because these procedures give the authentic flavor and the right consistency to define it as pizza. What we do at home in our electric oven or that made by American fast food and around the world is called focaccia. Some fast food and restaurant chains if they have the name in Pizza should change it as they do not respect the rules necessary to call their PIZZA product.

As an Italian American I can tell you that both are legit hotdogs. All cultures have meat in tube form. Our 4th of July at my grandparents were basically Italian sausages and hot dogs with all the Italian and the American condiments you could dream of as well as strange jello "salads" potato salads, chips, drinks, you name it! There was also lasagna or some kind of pasta too. I also agree with Eva. Pineapple does not belong on pizza. Ciao!

Eva's recipe makes me think of the sausage and peppers (which also had onions, but we always just called it sausage and peppers) that my mom would always make for summer cook outs, though she usually brought it along in a pot so the sausage wasn't cooked on a grill. Hi. Watching from the Philippines. From what I've noticed, Eva's passion for cooking derives from the fact that she's doing it for people she loves, be it her husband, family or friends. And in the end, that's what matters. And it's a big plus that she is a great cook, having learned to do so at home with her family and not from a cooking school (on this part, I am assuming). Her love is infused in the dishes she prepares, no matter how simple they may be. And for me, that's what counts! That's why your mother (or your father) or your aunt or your grandmother's dish is always the best because you love them. Stay safe the both of you!

Plenty of Americans out here have been eating sausage on the 4th for decades...but I am glad to see this!!!! Even the Hot Dogs are better if they are like sausages with the natural casings.
