When I worked at Michaels, I saw this stuff all the time. The reasoning is stupid too, because they need to not fall off. Okay, then heat shrink bag and put the labels there! It would probably be the same cost of a super sticker that just makes your consumer to never want to buy your product again.

@@AJD09FB Or, even better.. Put it on the sides or back where it does not matter at all. The shrink packing would require investing for shrink packing machine obviously.. And I doubt these things have much QC to begin with so slipping piece of paper is not realistic because the QC for these tends to be by random selection rather than checking all of them. But putting the sticker on the backside is easiest one, literally just need to flip the box over and that's it.

What usually helps is a hair dryer. Just heat up the sticker enough to where it's warm, not too hot to touch, but decently warm. Then stickers like these usually peel off reasonably easy and most if not all the residue is left on the sticker rather than the surface. I deal with garbage like this way too often!

The best adhesive remover I've ever used: isopropyl myristate. It's a special effects makeup adhesive remover that's also used in healthcare settings to remove stickiness from bandages and tape. It's skin-safe, oily, and works well to break down adhesives without damaging the thing underneath! With super gummy adhesives, I've had luck rubbing them down with IPM, waiting 10 minutes, and then using a non-marring scraper to scrape the goo off, rubbing it down with more IPM, etc. It's available on Amazon, was fairly cheap when I got it, and the 24 ounce bottle I bought 6 years ago is barely used because a little goes a loooong way. Soap and water remove the IPM super easily. Hope this helps someone!

The labels on my prescription pill bottles come off so cleanly, it brings me joy. I think I might be one of the rare people who does not like googone. I spend so much time scrubbing and washing the googone/adhesive residue off, and still the intense orange scent lingers.

I made the mistake at my very first job selling appliances and ruined every drawer in a display fridge by not testing if the Goo Gone was safe to use on the plastic. There was so much residue from the tape they used to pack everything inside and I just went to town spraying.

I've found the goof off graffiti remover in the aerosol can to be far more effective for removing glue, just be careful as it will remove paint if left on for more than a couple minutes.

Gosh, you're lucky those came off so smoothly, dang! In my experience, a hair dryer or a heat gun on low with a safety razor gets the sticker and its adhesive up largely in one go. Not perfect, but a lot less anxiety inducing, ha.

Citro by shipp is the best adhesive remover I have ever used. It is 100 natural and made from citrus and will eat adhesive in seconds. I use it almost daily at work for cleaning alcohol and stickers off of dancefloor.

Take a hair dryer to the sticker. Warms the glue. Makes it easier to pull off, and pull off without as much residue. I do this whenever people put stickers on books or glass.

A trick that *sometimes* works, especially stretchy labels: Instead of pulling in the direction of where you're rolling the label, pull in the opposite direction and lift the label off the surface, like pulling a tablecloth from a table in that party trick. That way, sometimes, SOMETIMES the label will stretch and the glue will shear off in a different way that leaves it on the label.

A fantastic way to remove sticker residue is to stick down some packing/scotch tape and pull it off parallel to the surface, stretching the tape. Even works to similar effectiveness with masking tape in some cases

The best adhesive remover is the sticky underside of the sticker itself. Just dab a small section of it on the glue residue multiple times and the glue on the underside of the sticker will pick up the glue residue from the surface you want to clean. Worked every time so far. You can even use duct tape in the same way. And if nothin works: Isopropanol alcohol.

At least it wasn't a paper sticker that rips the moment you tug on a corner, leaving you with both the glue and paper stuck behind. I wish the worst inconveniences of life upon those who came up with that. Also, ordinary Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) is my go-to as it's cheaper than goo-gone while doing the job just as well, readily available at any pharmacy, doesn't damage plastics (but may eat through some paints, mind you) and dries out on its own leaving no residue behind.

Also, folks vegetable oil works better than goo-gone for removing the residue left over. Mine also came off without leaving any of that as well.
