I've been watching you for a little over a year, and I have to say that I always appreciate the attention to alter the voice-over based on your environment. Muffled when underwater, or that echo when you're in the caves. Just a nice touch that adds that little extra to make your content more immersive.

Just a little tip I noticed. When you complete a quest such as a treasure map it tells you the day and time you completed it in the completed quest tab. Without a watch it's the only way I've found to see what day or time it is.

Make sure you open the vending machines several times to get the desired quality of the weapon you want! When I played and found the weapon I wanted I noticed that the quality changed whenever I reopened the vending machines so don't hastily buy something right away!

A Small tip for you, with just 1 green paste and 2 paper, you can make counterfeit fake cash in the research desk that can be handed in at traders as regular old cash, that could take you closer to the shotgun goal.

I would craft (or grab but it's heavy) the king size bed as soon as you can; it drastically increases the rate your sleep and your vitality/min goes up, would leave my base in the morning at ~80% vitality

Find a t1 or t2 house POI with one, carve through the wall, and pull the minibike around. If it's too high to jump down, drop it and go down normally. ^_^

Dunno what other people think, but it feels like this is tuned for adventurer rather than nomad. The spike in difficulty between the two is immense. Rads in particular are...well you essentially cant fight them without lots of ammo.

Great episode! I'm impressed that you were able to sneak that loot out of the cavern without waking anything up. I like the feature where you can pick up the loot chest and take it with you to open elsewhere, that opens up lots of possibilities for later on like an easy-to-get Tier 4 chest from the green forest taken to a high level POI in the wasteland. It's up to you whether you clear that POI first or not. 🙃

Hey guns! For "time telling" you can always, right after the horde, fill your campfire(s) for 7 hours (about 16 wood logs) so you can have an idea for what day it is at least thats what i am currently doing LOVE THE SERIES!!!!

I just put up a sign in our base, which we update daily. And I have a piece of paper next to me where I jot down each day, in case no one's in the base to update the sign. But the campfire trick is cool to know exactly when night will hit.

Also here's a little strategy for the literature fragments: basically before you use them to craft anything you should check the book lvl you're at and see if you can get to the level you need by crafting them with the fragments. If the fragments aren't enough to get there anyway then you're better off waiting and doing some raiding. Maybe you'll actually get several magazines in a row and won't even need to use all the fragments. You never know.

Satisfaction of a want gives you a good amount of Vitality boost, something like +25. Always good to grab when you can.

Hope you feel better GNS. When you are back in your base you should make sure to have a ceiling and something giving heat (forge or campfire) to dry off and stop being in the wet state. The wet state gives a -.20 per minute vitality debuff.

Couple of things I suspect you already know but I only just found out: Hold R when the loot timer is going and it'll go faster but make more noise, and the bear statues outside the shop in front of the cave complex are tier 3 loot items.. and they look pretty cool outside your base!

So Ive played until day 40 so far and i have to say, my BEST perk investment was the loot stage perks. Holy molly. All of a sudden, youre getting some really good loot. All 5 are worth every perk.

I really found all 5 levels of Smash and Grab to be worth the points. With no trader clear quests, I feel no obligation to go the approved way through POI's, So I just kick my way into buildings as efficently as possible. In the mid early game, smash and grab can let you raid tier 3 and 4 POI's and just beat through the main loot containers fast. Get higher level loot earlier.

You can craft all the batter up books and get the completion for full stamina on a kill very helpful metal tab on the literature bench Hammer was a great find that pushed you up like three tech levels I'm in day 40 never crafted gas it seems to be all over the place like you're finding if you're going to do mining also consider The mining books helps out a lot Good luck

Honestly, I think that when it comes to scrapping books, you should read the book sets like less degradation, more damage, etc etc etc as those are one time reads and provide significant upgrades in most cases. I get skipping things like tech junkies and wasteland treasure specific entries that you wont ever use, but in general read em once for the benefit as its generally worth it. Its a brief slowdown in literature scraps but long term benefit for gameplay. Even the ones like for guns or melee weapons you dont use might be worth it, if only because who knows what sort of advanced gear you will find that turns out to be really good? Like, imagine looting some godly machine gun that you actually enjoy using but you scrapped all the machine gun books so your gun degrades fast, does less damage, and is missing all the other little bonuses the book series grants? I do admit its a more interesting decision with the vehicle/handy/medical/etc books that you need to find 100 of to max out. Some are easy to dismiss like books meant for crafting weapons you wont use like sledgehammers and spears and such, but some are just useful even if you want a specific thing the most right now. Man this mod is a slog though. I still remember back in like alpha 19/18 being able to reach baseball bat crafting before the first horde night if you worked on it. And here you are waiting on what, the third? Fourth horde? And even with this deluge of books, you still wont be able to make a bat, or even be particularly close to it. Maybe another day of book scrapping to hopscotch right over the bronze hammer and go for baseball bats would be a better use of time? That desert city almost HAS to have a crack a book in it somewhere!

I hear you, but that's not how I'm going to play. For the sake of making a video that has a concise beginning, middle, and end, it helps the overall progression of the series to set a goal at the beginning and accomplish it by the end of the episode no matter the cost. Honestly, I couldn't care less about crafting steroids, pumpkin seeds, or using less stamina when aiming through a scope or whatever if the alternative is having a better club which I use 500 times per day.

@@GunsNerdsandSteel Fair enough. Honestly, I felt similar in darkness falls. I tended to not scrap any recipe unless I had already read it. It just made it easier to focus on what I should and shouldnt scrap even if there was no way id ever make a third of the items. That little symbol of read or unread was my guide. :p Yeah it meant my second or third class took a little longer to unlock, but in general it wasnt bad because you tended to get a LOT of copies of the same handful of books and schematics over and over. So progress was pretty fast. Plus there was the fun of finding a quest to clear a crackabooks so you got to double loot the place and get MOUNTAINS of stuff to make up the difference. Too bad there are no trader quests here for that. lol. Can you imagine what your scrapped book pile would look like if you got to double loot that tier 2 crackabook place? You would probably hit steel clubs by the time you finished crafting all the skill books.

The calendars are the ones you can scrap for 300 paper. Also, I do have 2 stun batons in my play through, and I can repair them normally, so maybe is a chance to get a repairable one?

by chance you can get easily some better weapons and tools by searching into the desert biome , but the search and the dangers of the snow biome is slightly better , you may find there anthracite (better coal) and of course wearwolves that fight zombs , just wait for them to die (be carefull they are really tough) and maybe you should have a good loot into his redbag

@TrollBishbaalkin endz you have a virus from the start. You won't loot anything above lvl 1 from ANY POI or Biome. Large hordes of animals spawn if you have meat on you. It's loads of fun tho. I died 3 times the first few hours. I highly recommend it. Miya's Rage EndZ is the server I am playing on.

16:15 I did push medical a bit for herbal anti-biotics because it's handy to be able to craft them and you can make them in the campfire, don't bother pushing for real anti-biotics because you need a chem bench to craft them which you won't be getting for a long time yet. Of course the herbal ones require the fabled blueberry... I'm guessing blueberries might be a snow biome thing because reasons.

there are blueberries in the forst biome, the bushes just blend in well with the green background so they are harder to spot. and once you get a single seed (should happen before you get to medicine 40), you are set since farming in this mod is actually sustainable

ok! so what slag ACTUALLY IS. to my understanding is...every time you smelt a scrap metal, or slag, it randomly rolls what kind of metal if any it's gonna give you. and IF that metal needs a temp higher than what the furnace is running at, instead of giving you that metal, it instead gives you that slag! so...running your forge on coal will just about eliminate the slag production. but there's an arguement of smelt scrap metal on charcoal, and then smelt the remaining slag on coal or even anthracite? feel free to corrct me if people know more accurately. but that should work. *sagenod* Don't forget! if you find a good mining spot, to BRING a forge over, and smelt the ore at the mining location! it told you to do that in one of the scrap notes!

It makes up for... I think it was his first 1.0 series. Vanguard, maybe? Where he was regularly breaking 5-10 lockpicks on wall safes with an early point in lockpicking! Mine in afterlife has been abysmal enough that I considered going with the shiv/lockpick class on another playthrough. I figure getting i to cop cars for free offsets it enough to make Sherrif worthwhile. Might need to give the no skills class a go at some point, for maximum masochism!

if someone could add an SSK.950 JDJ RIFLE with the .950 AMMO and 6 to 10 round clip also a M134 MINIGUN BACKPACK with 1000 rounds of 7.62 ammo, of course you could have it hold up to 8000 rounds that would be great and have it double as your inventory backpack too holding 15 X 30 slots for items. This would be good for those who play a NOMAD SERIES and help with HOARDNIGHT in later stages of the game.

Bit of a spoiler bout the tin so look away if you wanna find out on yer own. - - - - Tin is Cassiterite, and appears as hard-to-distinguish (in the forest) dark green/blue blobs on the map, a rock with yellowish veins is what to look for, much less common than copper.

I found a police shotgun in the desert 💀 game changer. Ive also found multiple iron axes and pickaxes in the desert cars. Along with a baseball bat. I did have loot goblin stage 3 at the time. I just did the latest update and I can't scrap the notes anymore. Maybe that's what happened to the posters?
