Dark or 'gallows' humor is required for first responders and service personnel in America, I could only imagine how much mental fortitude you need to be in a depressing place in Eastern Europe. It's a doorbell attached to a tree, attached to a mine! That's absurd! If they're not laughing at it, they're probably losing their mind over it. You can criticize Russia for plenty of reasons, but laughing at something as cruel as this is alot more common than you'd think. The average Russian has absolutely 0 idea of what goes on outside of it's own city. What they get to see is the propaganda State TV broadcasts. Can't really blame the average person as they only get spoonfed victories and the "horrible things NATO does to the motherland". Nothing of the attacks on city grids and supplies, nothing on the 10.000s of death at the frontline and absolutely no details about why certain companies get sanctions. They are as clueless as the average German person in 1944/45.

So, the FSB ambush and arrest suspects and tell them they are being detailed for the terror attack off camera, they then ask the suspect why he is being detained on camera. The suspect says why he is being detained (repeating what FSB previously told him) then they portray his answer as an admission of guilt. Torture and dirty tactics are all the FSB have because they simply don't have any real skill or education to actually solve a crime through the detective/investigative process.
