A serious tip for undereye help for clients, self, friends… Yerba Maté undereye gel from Good Molecules (excellent price point as well)! I use a very small bit, maybe 1/2 a pea, and it easily glides over my application area: my undereye, the sides of my eyes (think cat eye), between my brows, and down above my cheeks, which is my actual target area (you could go shopping with my morning bags). Product itself has a truly ugly color and an odd initial affect, but once dry it’s beautiful. The tightening, smoothing effect is immediate and the consistency is of the gel is so smooth it doesn’t pull the skill nor interfere with my prepared oily skin . I can’t see it disrupting any other prepared skin. It works over direct powder product dusted for light coverage and or liquid product for makeup days. To help with skin analysis: I’m 45 with one fine line under each eye, very thin skin, but huge ass bags that could probably benefits from hyaluronic acid injections lol. I have 2 tiny little smile lines for Ming in my outter corners, and I’m in love with them! Of note, I do not use concealer directly under my eyes, but I do wear liquid and/or powder makeup where the bags are present and lightly blend into my undereye area. It’s what has worked best for me as my skins has made her revolutions around the sun! From high end, mid, to drug store with proper technique skin says nope (it’s not even dry). Becca’s Undereye brightener is the bomb and I DO have a small hoard. Discoloration just isn’t much of an issue though. 🤣 Despite being 45, my skin hasn’t aged much and the bags are from fluid retention-dying process. Even us sick girls like looking pretty for ourselves. What am I to do with all the skin care and butt ton of makeup anyways lol! Cream ate me with that and my clinical licensures and certifications!

FYI that’s not sugar…when chocolate isn’t stored at the proper temperature, the cocoa butter separates and rises to the surface…it’s called bloom and while it doesn’t look nice, it’s still safe to eat

The editing of each episode is getting so good! Little suggestion, remind guests to put their screen close to where the camera is. Age however you choose but I kind of like that Johnny has evidence of aging. It makes me feel like I can trust reviews and opinions.

My 9 year old has a skincare routine that she asked for. A gentle toner, non active containing moisturizer serums, a gel cream, and some sheet mask type pads she loves. No acid and nothing damaging and the conversation when we do our skin is about self care not appearance.

I’m a 20 year old Sephora worker who deals with moderate hormonal acne and hyperpigmentation. I actually have pretty good skin for texture and hydration, but I get really large and painful red pimples and intense scarring which causes so much self confidence issues I will not want to leave the house for days. I love makeup but I don’t want to cover up my acne. I love skincare and it takes awhile to learn and figure out what works best. You have to play around for a few years before you get the routine down. Listen to experts and don’t rush to try every new product. If it works for you and you have room in your routine, try it. But overloading your skin can make it worse. Never let your skin dictate your worth.

Please for the love of the universe, I need an in-clinic video of Johnny and Kevin getting Botox, from consultation through after-care! There's so much planning that goes into the application and mapping out the best places to inject it. I was fascinated by the physiology of the facial muscles and how Botox in one area can cause alterations to the brow or the eye shape in another. It's not just sticking a needle in your forehead like everyone jokes about, there's an artistry to it.

I love that people have the same views like me on both Robert and James, I trust them so full heartedly. I feel like they just want the best for me. They removed so many unnecessary people from my list of influencers, because they do a very open minded, but no nonsense. And I love this podcast for the same reason. It’s about the at the end of the day, the truth will come out, so let’s be honest and frank about it right away. I don’t have time for trends anymore, i just want to know, does it works and how do I use the product in a way that is beneficial for me. Love both yours and the Welsh twins channels. One mistake I think people make is when jumping in to a new routine, they will try it every night. When starting either a retinoid or peptide product it needs to be worked in gently, like once or twice a week. These people use this and see things like the retinoid stage and say “oh it doesn’t agree with me” and never try it again. So glad you guys tell the true and also point us into the right direction of finding the research. Keep it up and I’m raising my glass of Sauvignon to you all. ❤

36:55 I 100% agree. You don’t need 10 steps for a good skincare routine. I have a a 4-5 step nigh time routine. 1- I removed makeup, 2- Wash Face (if I’m not wearing makeup then step 2 becomes step 1) 3- Tone my face 4- Use my Drunk Elephant Glycolic Night Serum 5- my Drunk Elephant Whipped Moisturizer (I absolutely love my DE products. Idc what people say about them, they work AMAZING on my skin!) My Day Time Routine is 1- wash face 2- tone 3- eye cream my Olehenriksen Eye Cream 4- either Olehenriksen Sheer Transformation moisturizer (I got 3-4 when they went on sale, it’s such a nice light weight moisturizer that makes my skin feel so soft) or my Tatcha Water Cream Moisturizer. Then I’ll do masks a couple times throughout the week & use a physical exfoliation usually once a week when I need it. My skin isn’t perfect but it’s healthy. I still get an occasional breakout here & there. I had such bad cystic acne when I was a teenager & had such bad scaring. I thought I was gonna have scared skin forever. Not realizing those scars fade over time. So I’m so happy with how my skin has been.

I think nowadays as a 27 year old that likes to follow trends and buy new makeup through out the year I’ve come to learn that a single product won’t save ur lack of time invested into technique. So I usually go for dupes and pull products I have to meet new techniques or like finishes. Definitely still get so much product pushed to me- but I don’t feel the need to keep up with buying it all anymore. The last purchase I had for makeup was the Lottie London highlighter as a dupe for the space cowboy shadow by urban decay. Definitely enjoy TikTok introducing me to more global trends when it comes to makeup and application techniques
