Interesting take on Chloe's non redemption arc. It's been a while since ive seen it so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but i think the reason why so many people wished she had a redemption arc was because, to them, it was set up as one. In ATLA, Azula doesn't get a redemption arc and thats fine. Her story was setup to explain her behavior but not to make people think sbe was gonna change.

Allegra was an old, unused concept Character. Basically, Her along with two other characters were supposed to be a superheroeses and were going to be on a team with PV Felix and Marinette called The Qauntic kids. Tbh I think it was a missed opportunity that the Quantic kids were not made canon post Miracle Queen.

Idk I think he's just annoyed with how badly the show is written. That's the vibe I get when I watch his videos. He recognizes that Chloe's done bad things but also recognizes how the show fucked her over, and it's pretty easy to point out how the show could have written her better, especially with Astruc's comments on Chloe's character and upbringing (I will forever be salty about that tweet claiming Chloe was never abu$ed, no matter how I feel about Chloe)

Familiars was a mandate of the coproducers - probably mostly the japanese ones (Bandai, Toei, ...) - to sell plushies. Thomas was not hot on the little bestioles, but at least he made the Kwamis play a role, unlike let's say in Sailor Moon, where after the first introduction, the cat's don't play any active part in the story anymore. Now they at least spice up the story a little, and Thomas isn't so against them anymore.

As i believe his mockup comic covers were probably before he met ZAG, who then arranged all the other international producers, and only then they would have told him they had to have "les bébêtes" (the little creatures), I think that would be the order of things. If you refer to the lore comics, I don't know, but I would guess they came even after the actual start of the show -> Stormy Weather in 2015. Watching the first version of the PV, it's not sure if the Kwamis are already there; if I remember right, they are there ... maybe in a later version of the PV?

Honestly, as someone who used to watch Miraculous Ladybug but stopped around Season 4 after seeing what trash it is, this just reminded me of how terrible the writers are at designing Black characters? None of them "fail" the paper bag test, and all of them have pin-straight/wavy/thin af hair. The only character with rich dark skin and coily hair was Aeon, who is a robot. Which wouldn't be bad itself if she wasn't the ONLY character like this. But she is. And the only other darkskin Black woman is Claudie, Max's mom, who got akumatized in Startrain. But other than that, she doesn't matter anyway.

Also this really puts into perspective just how bad this show is at having multiple characters. Everyone's worse off with it :( And the show really should have fleshed out Adrigami and Lukanette when they were together instead of breaking them up after just one episode (Truth and Lies are one episode even if they're split into two idc what anyone says). Like, we know so little about how their relationships were outside of that episode. They could have painted Luka and Kagami in any light because we can't prove it's super out of character since we never fuckin see it 🤦Like I would argue that Kagami was kind of out of character in Lies because she was talking about Adrien being imperfect but then is drawing even though her mother thinks she not good which could technically be considered an imperfection and that's not even mentioning the fact that Kagami was lying a whole bunch to spend time with Adrien which could totally be considered an imperfection since she's not doing what she's supposed to but idfk that could be in character because maybe Kagami changed while she was dating Adrien and became a fuckin hypocrite, we'll never know for sure! I also really wish we could see how Sabrina and Chloe became friends in the first place because before S4, Sabrina seemed to genuinely like Chloe and considered her a good friend so I want to know how they got there. Cause I don't see Chloe forcing Sabrina to be her friend and Sabrina just accepting based on their interactions. I don't think they works as friends anymore now obviously but I want to see how that started and how Sabrina feels about Chloe's changing behavior. And I can't be the only who thinks it's bizarre that no one likes or even fake likes Chloe yet she's meant to be the stereotypical rich, popular mean girl? Like being mean and rich only gets you so far if nobody tolerates you. Lila fills that role way better because at least people like her despite how she treats Marinette. And since you touched on the Chloe redemption situation, I agree, no one should be forced to forgive Chloe and the show doesn't owe us a redemption but they 100% should have written Chloe better, whether she got a redemption or not. If they wanted to do this relapse thing, they could have executed it much better and without turning Chloe into a one dimensional bully character, especially when there's already Lila. Idk, a redemption seemed like the easy way out for the writers so that along with me empathizing with Chloe's parental situation (and the fact that she really needs therapy), it seemed like a great choice! I didn't expect anyone in the show to really forgive her but it made sense for Mari to try to get Chloe to be better solely for keeping akumatizations down, and then they just didn't? It's weird to me but then again all the characters in this show deserve better writing so it's not just a Chloe thing to me; she's just the easiest example to point out. I really wanted to see Nathalie be more obviously motherly to Adrien cause there were little hints of it but they didn't put a lot of attention on it and it feels like Adrien's comment about Nathalie and Gabriel comes out of nowhere imo. Cause Nathalie says she admires how much Gabe cares for his family so it makes sense for Nathalie to care for Adrien because it would make her feel like she could replace (for lack of a better word) Emilie if Gabriel recognized how much Nathalie cared for Adrien. Idk that just didn't make sense to me. Also Nathalie deserves so much better in terms of everything. I also really want to see how Audrey and Gabriel ended up knowing each other only for Gabriel to be so nasty to her. You made me love Alix, Max, and Kim in like five minutes lmao. I mean I already liked Alix but you made them all sound so much more interesting. And I like Mari's friend group but I would have loved them so much more if they didn't talk about getting Mari and Adrien together so much. Like do they have nothing else to talk about lol? 58:15 Why are the kwamis eyes so fucking big??? Why am I just now realizing that?! Also if Fu were good at his job or replaced by Su Han early on, Mari and Adrien would have been won and that's why Mari and Adrien are hardly trained, change my mind. Lila is so annoying, both as a character and as a person. She could have been so interesting but they just didn't use her and then made everyone stupid around her when she made outrageous claims (basically an antagonistic Mary Sue). And then she's annoying as a person for obvious reasons (okay I'm done lol)

@@Riaah_love Yeah like I still liked her until mid S4 but it's incredibly disappointing to see her be reduced to an unfunny, one dimensional, walking stereotype of a bully character. At least in S1 and S2 she had funny moments but now she's just a dick with no rhyme or reason and regardless of how you feel about Chloe, I think you have to recognize that it really does make the story worse off. Like look at Zoe. She got sidelined for a lot of S4, only really being used in Sole Crusher and Queen Banana and then literally just being there so the bee miraculous has a user. If Astruc was less focused on trying to get people to hate Chloe and instead wrote a better story, maybe Chloe wouldn't have the bee miraculous but at least there wouldn't be a whole new character shoehorned in to use it. Hell, I think even Ladybug fusing Tikki and Pollen whenever she needs the bee would have worked better but oh well
