I like your videos guys. You actually still build planes! What kind of Biplane is that at the beginning of your video?

Great video with some really nice builds! Please make more videos of your build! There are not too many of us kit and scratch builders out there. I just purchased a Balsa USA Stingray 120, based on your great videos!!!!

Questions. 1. What was the part number for the Amazon 996 servos you mentioned? 2. Which fuel tank did you put in the Stingray 12o? 3. Did you make the Stingray 120 aluminum landing gear and if so what thickness and hardness rating? Tks Jim
@martinkolm17963 жыл бұрын
The servos were mg996 4 pack $20.00 seem to be working fantastic, the fuel tank is 12oz and it last about 20 min. With plenty left in it . The landing gear is off a four star 120 appears to be about 3/32 thick. Thanks for watching Jim

I enjoy watching you guys, you are builders, all IC, I’m so tired of all the foam electrics constantly on. Also I envy your flying field. Like others would like to see some of your building techniques, now with winter. Thanks again for your unique channel.

Hey guys, I have a smoothie XL I have been trying to build for a few years, yours will probably be done in two weeks! You guys work fast.
@mbmrc52413 жыл бұрын
What’s the kit quality like? I would assume it’s similar to most of the Balsa USA stuff so probably very good!

@@mbmrc5241 I think it is very good! I returned to building balsa for the first time since the early 90s when I built a Great Planes PT-40, and the smoothie is great so far. My buddy Steve also built one and he is dedicated, so his is flying. I think you guys will love it. I will say though, that my buddy Steve powers his with a DLE 35ra, and it’s not fast. It flys very good, but don’t expect a speed demon. The laser cut parts are nice and make the fit perfect. I am thinking about the Citabria Pro as one to buy now after watching y’all build that one so fast.

Guys... check your audio levels!
@mbmrc52413 жыл бұрын
At what point in particular are you referring to so I can isolate any issue and prevent it in the future?
@tench7453 жыл бұрын
@@mbmrc5241 The entire intro is very quiet, I had to have my volume up to 60 to hear anything. Once you get into the main video at 2:50 I can listen at my usual 15 to 20. The jump between them was painful and a little frightening.
@mbmrc52413 жыл бұрын
@@tench745 well I much appreciate the the feedback, I do however feel like you were listening for the actual audio behind the video as opposed to the voice over work I had done for the intro. I left the original audio from the videos in; albeit low, for the intro. So you could still hear the plane running, but you could also hear my voice. You can see the video for the Weeks, at full volume if you go back and watch it. It was some leftover video that I had found on the cutting room floor. But the audio, for the intro was purposely turned down so you could hear my overdubbed intro audio/ voice over. Also, I would most definitely watch listening to anything at a heightened volume, I would hate to see anyone walk away with hearing damage. Your headphones most likely came with an operators manual and I suggest you follow the outlined recommendations, per the user manual. Thanks for the tip!

@@mbmrc5241 No, It was the voiceover I was attempting to listen to. I can only assume that the audio on all channels was turned down accidentally. Please watch the posted video yourself and verify. I took a short video myself to illustrate the jump in audio levels in case it is a platform issue. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYmpY4Sff51sa7s
