The novelization details that Palpatine told Dooku to kill Obi-Wan and go easy on Anakin. This was so that Palpatine could analyze Anakin’s fighting skills and abilities in order to determine if he was a worthy apprentice because Palpatine already planned for Dooku to be killed. This confirms why Dooku looked shocked and horrified when he hears Palpatine order Anakin to kill him. Dooku realizes this whole time that he was just a pawn.

2:28 imagine how much Count Dooku could have changed history by revealing that Palpatine was his master before being killed. Theoretically, imagine that in the seconds when Anakin was deciding whether he should kill dooku or not, dooku reveals that palpatine is his master the whole time.

My advice to you Is watch 2003 clone wars before you watch this movie. 2003 makes more sense and aligns perfectly with the movies. Who the fudge is ASS HOE KAH?! Dave baloney shit. Genndy rules. Kit Fisto puts up a bit more of a fight . But considering these are the four badest badass Jedi Masters in the galaxy you want them to put up more of a fight . You want them showing a bit more of that badass lightsabre skill. Since The Emperor is the ultimate evil of the whole piece yeah he should be able to fight them off but these Jedi Masters are beaten far too easily. Obviously they were trying to keep the running time down but I really wanted more from this big duel and probably less of Obi Wan fighting it out with Anakin.

I don't understand this skill cycle. Master Dooku defeats Obi-Wan, who in turn Obi-Wan defeats Anakin and he defeats Master Dooku who defeats Obi-Wan. If Anakin defeated a guy who defeated his master, it wouldn't be easy for him to defeat Obi-Wan since he was defeated by Dooku. 😂😂😂😂

So here’s a little explanation on that. Lightsaber combat is very grounded in different fighting styles called forms. Obi-Wan’s fighting style, Form 3 is all about defense and outlasting your enemies or giving you enough time to make the critical blow whereas Anakin’s Form 5 is about using strength and speed and overwhelming your enemy. Anakin’s form works best when fueled by emotion and Dooku throwing Obi Wan and then taunting him was enough to open that box. That and Dooku was aging and getting slower, he was older than Palpatine. When Anakin and Obi Wan fight later Anakin largely dominates the fight. However Obi Wan’s defensive form keeps him alive long enough for him to get into a defensive position that gives him the advantage. As for why Obi Wan lost to Dooku I’ll just say he got the jump on him. This whole fight is kind of like Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson. TLDR: it’s like Buster Douglas defeating Mike Tyson

The prequel movies predate every star wars series ever made. So this was meant as an origin story for sidius. Back then he was simply known as The Emperor. Guys that grew up with the OG trilogy had no idea who he was before the empire until the sequel movies. As for corruption. Turns out sidius was already corrupted from the dark side. Sith lords can use a sort of glamour charm with the force to hide their disfiguring features from the public. And sidius has lived for a very long time using the force to keep himself alive. The deeper you go into the Dark Side the more corrupted you become. What you see after windu is what he really looks like. The only exception in all the history of sith masters and apprentices. Was Dooku. He never gave into the dark side of the force meaning he never developed the Sith Eyes. Bc he was never interested in the dark side power but what it had to offer him in terms of overall necessity.
