For a more terrifying scenario, focus on building unease through subtle cues, instead of going for the direct fear factor through a spooky looking distorted character. EAS analouges are pretty common, so this a nice start but i'd love to see you try some different stuff to make your work speical EDITING THIS: I've looked at a lot of other EAS scenarios, and "DO NOT" statements also tend to be more frightful. for example: "Any weapons you may have will not save you anymore, do not be a hero." By being forceful in your scriptwriting like this, it gives a sense of urgency and directness that can elevate the horror sensation. There isn't one finite recipe for success, but I'd recommend at the very least not doing a few things: 1. falling into the trope of cheesy jumpscares for horror 2. overrelying on purely scary visuals, instead combine several slightly scary things to elevate the horror factor as a whole. subtle 4th wall breaks do this well by eroding the viewer's sense of removal from the content they are watching. immersing the viewer in the video is a better way to control their attention and intensify the fear delivered
