Hi Craig. Another great tutorial. I just recently bought Arturia V Collection 8 after already having Arturia Keylab8 and Analogue lab 4 for some time. The instruments in the Latest Arturia software are really good quality. The V2 Pianos are especially good. I own Spectrasonics Omnisphere and KeyScape, UVI Falcon and UVI Keysuite which are pretty similar offerings to Arturia V Collection. They all stand up to each other in terms of sound. The Arturia stuff is very easy to use and definitely the most beginner friendly out the suites mentioned above. V collection Version 8 is a big improvement over previous collection.

Hi Troy. I definitely have gear envy over Keyscape, but it’s good to hear that the V2 Pianos hold up against it... so I can save on a few pennies for now!

Helpful tutorial. Thank you. I think this is the best synth for me because I am not great at sound design and find it hard to make decent sounds from scratch so I want loads of presets. Many people will pour scorn on that approach but I just want to make music with minimum technical fuss at this stage. It is quite limited but that is also a good thing in some ways.

Reading through the comments it seems everyone has a different amount depending on which Arturia plugins they already own. I wasn’t aware of that when I made the video. I thought it would be the same for everyone

Wow You really just hit spot on on all the little things that I did not know or am struggling with right now. I have the Impulse 61 as well, and just ditched the Automap and upgraded to HUI compatibility. Was messing with getting the RemoteControlEditor to work, but I find it quite unlogical. Will have a better look at quick controls. Do they utilize the RCE by the way?

Yes, that automap thing was weird. It worked perfectly for the first year or two that I had the keyboard and then just suddenly stopped. I use the Nektar P1 now, which has a Quick Controls button on the actual hardware, so I didn’t need to do any configuration at all. I just press the button and have instant access to them so I have not tried RCE

@@Tutorial_ismManaged to get the Analog Lab controls mapped to my Impulse. What was messing things around was that the macros were actually set up to specifik MIDI CC inside the plugin, so it constantly messed up the Quick Controls :)

Hi, Just bought v collection and using cubase pro 11. Within mediabay of your video all arturia synths are with picture. Did they appaer automatically with installation, or Did you have to do it maually by screencapt in each synth plugins? I Just started today, and have to do it manually...

Yeah, you have to capture them manually. It’s always the first thing I do when I get a new plugin!

Great tutorial. I'm actually looking at getting the Arturia Keylab mk2 midi keyboard but noticed it doesn't have an onboard arpeggiator. Was the arpeggiator in this software pretty easy go assign to your midi controller?

The arps in Analog Lab itself are already pre-baked in to the presets, so you don’t have to do any assigning - just play any note or chord to trigger them. If you want to edit the arp patterns you have to own the individual synth that the preset is utilising, but if you do, they are very easily manipulated

Probably going to get a 'keylab essential' and then upgrade later if necessary. And if not necessary i'll have the money to get a synth like Serum or buy one of the 'full version' Arturia VSTs.

This looks very good. But is it with having if I have Omnisphere already? Omnishere has like +10 000 presets out of the box.

As I see it the two are not directly comparable, even if you don't consider the huge price difference. Analog lab is mainly focused on semi customizable presets from brilliant reproductions of a wide collection of classic Analog and Digital synths. Where Omnisphere has a more broad approch with a sample base and synthesis. Personally I don't whink I would use Omnisphere enough to justify the price tag, but Analog Lab V was a no brainer, when I saw what you get for the relatively low price...

Yes, sorry about that. I wasn’t aware when I was recording that you will have a different number of presets depending on which other Arturia products you own

If you have no other Arturia products it's around 2k presets, if you also have Collevtion V8, which is almost all of their instruments, you get that 11k or more.

There are a whole bunch of free packs in the store within the plugin, but I don’t think 9000. Maybe it also loads up the presets from the V collection. I have to admit, I never did read the manual for this plugin!!!!

I dont know why, I just bought arturia keylab essential, and installed analog lab V, but I dont like the synth sounds library, better on garageband sound library than this, I compare it because its the same free vst given from buying a hardware, how about you ?

I have never used Garage band, but if that is what you like then that is what you should use - and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
