Thank you for the vid ! I would love you to analyze Yurik Vardanyan's snatch and clean and jerk world records, and also Yuri Zakharevich 210kg snatch and Anatoly Pisarenko's 265kg and Blagoi Blagoev's 195.5 snatch WR and all time sinclair WR. These eastern old school lifters were insane.

One of the very best lifters in the 82,5 lg weight class. He was supposed to lift in Seoul in 1988. At the time of the weigh-in of the 75 kg lifters our officials made the decision to withdraw the rest of our national team. If the newspaper article I read some years ago is correct Zlatev cried and begged to be allowed to compete assuring our officials he could become Olympic champion by performing one attempt in each lift.

Zlatev looks like a track athlete. Weightlifters are the fastest most explosive athletes in the Olympic games. Based on testing of all sports at '68 Olympics in Mexico City.

Zlatev was one of a kind but Vardanyan was even more athletic . Most athletic lifter ever. Insane to think they were at one point competing at the same time and with another all time great ( Blagoev ) in the same 82.5 weight class

@@Miiiiiiighty agree completely on Vardanyan. Between Vardanyan and Robert Emmiyan, Armenia had two of the greatest "fast twitch" athletes of the twentieth century.
