Found this very helpful, thank you! I am amazed that some people can still find time and space to criticise people who generously share the light and help so many across the globe. The awareness of the blessed teachings of this linage if gurus came to me from unimaginable sources, way beyond SRF or Ananda remits. I felt so blessed and truly connected with the Masters. I had no idea about the sectarianism contaminating their Divine work. It is really sad, damaging and off-putting and following the very same pitfalls of traditional religion...Encouraging division, dualistic judgements and righteousness is certainly not bringing any more light to this world of darkness. Sanandie Konte - “Hong Sau comes to us from a very distant past. “Hamsa” (Hong-Sau) is already to be found in the oldest of the Vedas, the Rig Veda (1550 BC, and earlier it was transmitted orally). It refers to the supreme Lord. It also stands in yoga scriptures for the Self (atman). Hamsa stems from the Sanskrit words “Aham-Sa,” which literally mean “I am He.” Hamsa (Hong-Sau) is explained in ancient yoga scriptures to be the sound of the subtle breath itself: the entry of prana into the body causes the sound “ham,” the ejection of prana out of the body the sound “sa.” Therefore the body itself is thought to automatically recite this mantric sound 21.600 times a day. This spontaneous sound is widely known as “Ajapa Mantra” (unpronounced mantra), or “Ajapa-Gayatri,” (unpronounced Gayatri Mantra), or simply “Hamsa-Mantra.” In his Autobiography Yogananda similarly states: “Ham-sa (pronounced hong-sau) are two sacred Sanskrit chant words possessing a vibratory connection with the incoming and outgoing breath. Aham-Sa is literally ‘I am He.’” Yogananda described these mantric sounds as “sacred.” The ancient texts agree. The “Gheranda-Samhita” instructs to recite this potent sound constantly, to arrive at a state of exaltation.”

That is Swami Kriyananda, who founded Ananda, where this class is being taught. He’s not part of the line of gurus but was a great soul and we like to continue to honor his dedication to his Guru (Paramhansa Yogananda) through service, love, and meditation. HERE IS THE TECHNIQUE Sit comfortably focusing on mid of eyebrow with your eyes closed.. Breath in through nose 2 sets breath out through mouth two sets .. Feel the sensation of your breath.. Tune into breath and chant mentaly houng(i,ego),sou(spirit)... Final step, breath out and focus on the gap(stillness) and be in the peace and ask yourself who is stop you to be in that peace

Only learn from SRF. Wrong practices or modifications done by These Sangha people can do more harm than good. Listen to your inner calling. My the light guide you onto the right path. Ananda is made up of a bunch of ignorant wanna be folks who can't tell a duck from a dog. One can't feel even an iota of piety in these Ananda people. On the other hand you can see divinity oozing like nectar from SRF nuns and monks. It is sad these Sangha people are misrepresenting history. Mahavtaar Babaji is not the incarnation of Bhagvan Krishna. Bhagvan Krishna is God himself. Mahavtaar Babaji is a self realized deathless saint - Jivan Mukta.

why are you acting like theater artist, it's completely a technical thing not to make any artificial presentation of the whole process." haung shau " is not any language word , it's a sound reflection in words..when we twist our tongue to back ward touching upper soft palate with the tip of the tongue ( ideal situation is khechari mudra where you bend your tongue backward to block the canal ) , breathe in to fill your lung with oxygen a sound would generate from diaphragm & chest like "hung " , when we exhale at at once a sound " shau, " will come out..this hung shau ...nothing else

What is the video of Brother Anandomoy have to do with this? He is talking about another monk who went on its own to teach kriya yoga not about Swami Kriyananda. You are comparing apples to oranges here. Matser said for those who think me near I will be near. He didnt says those who are ONLY in SRF I will be near. Organization is secondary, what is important is love, devotion and attunement to master and God. There are plenty of great saints who are not in SRF nor from Ananda and they commune with master daily in deep meditation. Go ahead and tell that to them. Sami Kriyanada was serving his guru relentlessly for 65 year until his passing. He never said that HE is the teacher he referred and gave all to master.

Actually he did say that. SRF was ordained by God and the line of Gurus to be disseminated only through SRF. Master did say that if you are not going through SRF true Blessing of the Gurus will not be there. I am sure if you are praying to Master that he will come near. When you go through the proper steps of the true teachings it binds you to Master until you are realized. Brother Anandamoy was specifically talking about Donald Walters (Kriyananda). Brother Anandamoy said that by going against Master's wishes and releasing techniques you are taking on HEAVY karma. Master has a process before you learn this technique. It wasn't meant to be just given out willy nilly. There is a Sacred process.

SRF puts Krishna on the altar. Yogananda never put a picture of Krishna on the SRF altars. Krishna was put on the altar after Master’s mahasamadhi. Also Babaji incarnated as Krishna in a former time. Babaji’s picture then, encapsulates Krishna. Sometimes old prayers from the 20’s and 30’s Master addressed Babaji-Krishna to show they are one.
