Most likely it did not. Because first of all the harem women were forbidden from meeting any men except the sultan. Even if a rebellion did happen, it would be suppressed by the janasaries. Though the story is real but most of the events of this show are fictional. Kosem only gained power and became popular with the public when her son, Murad ascended the throne. There are hardly any chances that the harem ladies from the dynasty would have the power to suppress such rebellions. Most of them were not even allowed to leave the harem. Even the Valide Sultans would talk to Pashas from behind a curtain and not face to face. Most of the storyline and some of the characters of this show are fictional. No one really knows the exact events that took place in their lives so all of this is based on imagination.

@@ImMarius1 I did I've researched a lot on this. The women in harem were restricted from the rest of the world. They were not allowed to leave the harem. They weren't allowed to meet any men except for the sultan. Only after the 17th century were the women allowed to meet the vizers that to from behind a curtain. The show is 70% fiction build on the 30% real life events. Women didn't have much power in the ottoman empire if they didn't have sons. Kosem only gained a lot of power and influence after her son Murad ascended the throne. Ahmed had many other favorites too as he had children from several other women. He loved Kosem a lot but she didn't have a lot of power outside the harem during his reign. Also Kosem and Safiye were not enemies in real life as one of Kosem's daughter was named Safiye after the great Safiye Sultan. Safiye voluntarily retired to the old Palace and most of the events shown in the show never happened in real life. Kosem actually liked Safiye a lot and she was not as bad as she's portrayed in the series. Also most probably Mehmet was not Kosem's son but its not clear. I've researched a lot and read a lot of books hence I'm telling this. The makers had to built a storyline from some of the real life events that were recorded in history hence they included many fictional events to support the real life events. Also in magnificent century part 1 its shown in the show that Suleiman had many women but in reality he never took any concubines and was in a monogamous relationship with Hurrem after 1525. Also its shown in the show that Mahidevran killed Mehmet but in real he died from small pox. There are many events shown in both the series that are purely fictional and are far from reality. Also in the disclaimer of the show they have clearly mentioned the show is inspired from real life events but most of it is fictional and is just for entertainment. This series is good for entertainment but if you really want to know history don't depend on this series, read books or use Google to find out the actual history.

Women weren't allowed to leave the harem and interact with any other men or outsiders. A woman had no power back then if she didn't have sons or if her son wasn't the Sultan. So a concubine repressing a rebellion was not possible. This is just fictional to show us how Kosem gained power over time. But in reality she only gained power outside the harem after her son Murad ascended the throne.
