Man I hope that Kangal And Anatolian Shepherd’s don’t go to a lot of shows the reason they are awesome is because they are extremely athletic working dogs that love to do their job if they become show dogs people will breed for size not athleticism and they’ll end up like a German Shepherd and have Health problems like hip dysplasia so let’s declare right now that won’t happen.

AKC named the Kangal from Turkey Antolian Shepatd. Kangal in Turkey means black face. There are lots of Shepard dogs in the Anatolian Mts. And could mean anything. The black idog s something else as are a few others. This was fun to watch.

I'm not an Anatolian/Kangal expert, but all the dogs except for the black one (first time seeing an Anatolian with a different colour!) look like mutts to me. It's very odd how there is absolutely no consistency. Every single dog looks different. To me, it's as if you are showing Dobermans, German Pinschers, Beaucerons, and Manchester Terriers, saying that they are all Dobermans. Why is this? Are there no standards for this breed?

Compared to a lot of breeds it's not as strict on standards. That being said, a lot has changed for the breeds standard and what is considered an Anatolian and what is considered a Kangal over the last few years.

Anatolian breeders introduced a lot of pure Kangals into their motley looking dogs but they are still not Kangals.

Kurds has nothing to do with this dog breed and Middle East even lesser....
