A great video on bishop broadheads and how you handled the A-Z of their system..What Iam about to say is mostly directed to my fellow archers who in reality resent their fellow hunters approach to our sport . With 60 years of experience and having the pleasure of shooting with Howard Hill and Ann WeberHoyt and winning state MASS,NE championships it upsets me to read these comments.These are probably the same archers who belong to R/G clubs just to shoot the course and are not the 3-4 who built and maintained it .In the sixties it was the 28 target NFAA field round ..I probably was the first archer ever to use three fingers under and averaged 505 a round instinctive. We can never bring back time and at age 84 I wish that I could attempt a 300 round, but in reality I have all of the NFAA FIELD ROUND PINS which is 14 . I doubt seriously if the elite 300 archers presently could accomplish this instinctively..I have spoken with Dr.Sean of Bishop and if you lost , broke a broadhead he will replace it free of charge.. Remember guys, you should get educated on Kinetic Energy, FPS, and most importantly FOC . Think about this no matter how proficient you are with your bow you have no control over your shaft once it’s on it’s way ..In the meantime sound travels 1150 FPS and the Deer who have that ability to react in microseconds attempting to jump the bowstring and is beginning to move..My question to you all is:::DO YOU WANT IT TO BE FAST AND LIGHT OR SLOW AND HEAVY ? It takes 25-35 ft lbs to kill a deer . My setup for 2019 if I should live so long is 210 ft lbs.. Be respectful to each other . We are family..Anyone want to help me drag my🦌🦌out this fall ? LOL

Thank you so much for your videos and channel. As someone who is just getting into bow hunting and having no idea about compound bows, your videos have been my education into this lovely endeavor. If you ever come to NZ and want to hunt the South Island, let us know and I'll be glad to show you around for free. Plenty of animals here and we don't have tags or bag limits on big game.

I get how awesome they are. I'd definitely get some to try out. I just don't have that kind of extra coin to spend.

I like the solid one piece design! I use something similar, (not s7 steel), but a solid one piece head made by VPA. May have to give these a try if I ever run out of my VPA's!

Average Jack Archery You won't be disappointed. I got a pass through on a dandy blacktail buck last Nov. here in Western Oregon (Video) with the BH Ser-Razor and buried it in the dirt.. After some minor cleaning I found the head to still be sharp, undamaged and spun perfectly..

A great video. Check out Simmons sharks broadheads they are made out of steel also I shoot the 175 grain tiger shark and there isn't much tuning to do they fly pretty amazing for such a heavy Broadhead. But anyway great video this morning I enjoy them young man keep them coming. God bless

The Chinese clones of broadheads work fine and aren't any loss. I would not want to be the guy who says he just threw his hundred dollar knife. Can't wait to see inexpensive clones of the big ones.

Simmons broadheads ARE steel broadheads that cost $39 for three and they are as tough as any on the market. I do enjoy your videos young man and I know that you like to tell us about new products but I would never and I repeat never spend that much money on anyone's broadheads I shoot the Simmons tiger sharks that are solid steel broadhead and they are the toughest that I have used in my years of hunting. And they are affordable for most hunters.

I’m sure they are spectacular heads, but too expensive for a head that i have a high risk of losing. I lost a $15 VPA head during turkey season last fall, and that was hard enough to stomach. This spring for turkey I’m trying the Magnus Ser razors, and for elk I’m going to use the Cutthroat single bevel in 200 grain. $65 a pack with a lifetime warranty for those is much more doable for me and I don’t see that much of an advantage with the Bishop.

I'm. A custom knife maker of 20 years s7 is not the high end tool steel an it is not that expensive to buy.....D2 an A2 is a much better with a higher carbon content An they are tuff an tale an hold an edge....not a bad designed head but way ever priced for ahead made from S7
@dannydyer9961 Жыл бұрын
They claim the S7 after their little tempering treatment is more resistant to impact damage. They make more expensive heads than this that they claim is even better from S72/58 tool steel. I've never heard of it. When it's tempered it has a Gold color

I wanted to buy some broad heads from Bishop's broad heads but there website is a little too sketchy.

I bought a pair of their Mammoth 600grain broadheads. It was expensive and took a few weeks to receive them but they are the cream of the crop for turning up the forward weight on an arrow. Their multi core arrows are unaffordable.

Although I'm intrigued by the fact that they look identical to an ancient native American projectile point with that single bevel, the buy in is way too steep for this hard working American with college age offspring.

teamflanneloutdoors Check out Cutthroat single bevel broadheads from RMS Gear. About half that price and still a single piece machined head with lifetime warranty.

Too overpriced for machined steel... And any blade is close to useless unless it's tempered.That pack would cost about 50 $ for the costs of making them.
@toadamine5 жыл бұрын
Clearly you've never heard of S7 tool steel... 😂
@timmclongdick Жыл бұрын
$50 to make them - then you have to pay someone's salary who's packaging them, taking the orders and shipping them... plus keep the lights on, taxes, insurance... You'd be amazed at the markup of most things on the market.. if you don't make a profit you don't have money to invest in a better production process or more skilled employees to create it and someone else does so your product/company gets bought out or bankrupted
@charmzee8749 Жыл бұрын
@@toadamine S7 is equivalent to 50CrMoV13-15. I work with 153XCrMoV12 regularely , it’s a tougher steel we use for knives that cut the excess magnesium off our cast steering wheels. 😉 But i mainly work in C45 (soft as butter steel) and 80MnCrV8 . We use AISI in Europe so no, i never heard of S7 steel 😂😂😂
@charmzee8749 Жыл бұрын
@@timmclongdick A huge part of that extra above the manufacturing costs is used for investing, my big issue is that it’s a single blade that can be hardened to add to the value. It’s a waste of a beautiful design not to have it ready for anything. Not to mention the edge you’d get on it and how much it will last if you use the right steel.

I'm not saying that these are bad broadheads, but I don't 100 percent understand why somebody would buy $300 fixed blade broadheads when you can just buy a 3 pack of rage broadheads that includes a dull practice head for $40

Hit really thick bone and you will understand.

To each their own, if you have money spend it. Also spending that much money on broadheads is also a major confidence boost.

The rage cost $40 per three and last three shots... These cost $300 for three and will last forever...

Bro; I don’t care what kind of special voodoo metal you say they r using but u can only get a blade so sharp and it only has to b so strong. I mean come on, man. U literally just payed $300 for 3 inches of “special steel “. I can pretty much guarantee that if u were to match those “special “ broadheads against some Ramcats. And; u couldn’t tell the difference. And u didn’t waste a paycheck on “special steel “
