Really happy with the silent LR buttons. Every other device I have used so far has them sounding like someone chewing rocks.

Love the detailed teardown! I definitely don't need this, but it hits the nostalgia hard. Hoping they make a transparent fuchsia since that was the color I had growing up and I would love to have an updated version of it.

I think if this is successful for Anbernic like the SP, they will probably do a second wave with new colors! 🤞🤞 The transparent fuschia is such an awesome GBA color

I next year I hope we get a 3:2 Anbernic Handheld with Analog Sticks and the Allwinner A527. It should be able to pull off PSP Emulation while looking good at the same time.

Psp stick sucks, and a second stick is mandatory for ps2 and gamecube emulation.

Probably because they were going for the original ergonomics. If they aligned the d-pad and buttons it would push them closer to the edge.

I'm not sure what you mean? The d-pad is in the same exact location as the original GBA.

Ooh I see, it’s the same distance in from the outer edges but because the screen is bigger they are no longer centre aligned horizontally between the screen and the edge of the device

The 351 has a 3.5" screen so it's just slightly larger, but it is a lower resolution display (480 x 320). It can handle 2X integer scaling for GBA. The 34XX has a 3.4" screen with a resolution of 720 x 480, so it can handle 3X integer scaling. They're both very nice for GBA and if you have a RG351P, it's a little bit less interesting unless you really like the look of the 34XX.
