Solid car still amazed at how safe cars are now the lack of deformation on the panels and glass not even breaking is unbelievable after some of those hits apart from the impact zone the engineers should be proud.

That is not good, at all. Cars should absorb as much deformation as possible to protect occupants, if panels remain perfect ut means the energy has gone to your skull

They should do this test using a heavy trailer carrying bags of cement at 100 km/h both and also a stalled trailer because that's the speed they're being driven of by the owners

You need to change the test, larger cars need to be tested with sled weight closer to an SUV than smart car weight

The side impact is pretty terrible, that pole goes a long way into the cabin.

Surely the real impact on a smaller vehicle or pedestrian should be tested with a real opposing vehicle or a life-size dummy. And with a "bull" bar fitted that inevitably get put on these vehicles. Then we might really see the true impact of these behemoths with blunt front ends on smaller vehicles and pedestrians.

Not sure were these people are getting there info from .2023 test swift got one star and Mahindra scopico even worse on No Stars tested 2023 .Same test as prado.

К сожалению, после любого подобного удара автомобиль списывается в тотал. Деформирован кузов, деформирована рама. И всё таки, при покупке большого внедорожника в подсознании у большинства людей есть уверенность, что это большой железный крепкий автомобиль (как танк), а по факту консервная банка с кучей подушек безопасности. И дай вам бог, что вся эта электроника и безопасность сработают правильно и вовремя, потому что на большой железный кузов полагаться больше нельзя, как и на раму. По факту, небольшой боковой удар в переднее или заднее колесо и ВСЁ!, гнёт кулак или ломает , гнутся рычаги и гнётся рама. Сзади гнёт полуоси, гнёт чулок корпус заднего моста. Возможны и другие повреждения, в любом случае автомобиль превращается в недвижимость. В итоге за такие деньги вы рассчитываете на надёжность, а получаете неизвестно что, да ещё и не самые надёжные моторы и трансмиссию.
