Will this clear the airbag light on a VW Caddy 2024. Had it cleared 6 months ago by engineer, but has returned again 6 months later. Just want to turn it off as the airbag isn't faulty and its annoying.

No batteries it just comes on when you plug it into the DLC connector. It uses the power from your car.

Dose it allow the to see more then just the ECM ?

On VW vehicles you can get and clear codes on other modules more than just the ECM. But if you want data you will need one of the more expensive ones.

Pity it can't help with my dpf light knowing it's soot left would be a great help as sometimes the lights only on for a couple of minuites , I have this tool for my audi a3 tdi but nothing about exhaust on it

I have a 2005 Audi Allroad. Will this interact with all its systems? I have three fault lights that keep coming up: air suspension, oil pressure, and Air Bag. Will this tool help me with all of these?

I think it will work. You could always email the company just to make sure. It’s only going to give you the codes and the ability to clear them. But sometimes that’s all you need.

You only need to connect it to a computer to run updates. Otherwise, just plug it directly to your car's computer. They tell you to turn the key to accessory (don't need to start the engine for most of the tests, but it will tell you if it's required), and then you can run the scans. There is an option to "record" the results on the scanner, and then you can either look the information up separately, or connect it to a Windows computer and let the Ancel website decipher it for you. It only powers up when it's connected to either the car's computer or to a regular computer. Hope that helps.

Would you recommend this tool overall or is spending the extra 30 bucks for OBD11 better if all you care about is getting codes and performing functions like throttle reset? I assume the VD500 does that, yeah?

I really like it. If you can find one that can show data and do all the resets and scan all the modules in a VW for $30 more that would be good. But I do like this tool and it works great.

The Ancel VD700 is the big brother to the VD500 for VAG cars has more advanced functions and doesn't cost a lot more.
