Interesting information and some good tips - I appreciate your balanced approach. I agree that a lot could be learned from how our ancestors ate but sometimes people try to take it too far back and base their choices on some very limited and even erroneous information - I studied paleonutrition as part of my archeology degrees and find it funny what people now consider to be a caveman or paleolithic diet - they seem to think it's all about meat when reality was most of our ancestors back in that kind of era had an incredibly diverse diet with a lot of plant foods, seafood and occasionally meats. Unfortunately, the modern farm system (and number of people the world has to support) makes a lot of that difficult to replicate, so this approach is great to see.
@jasonhurst85992 жыл бұрын
It may be "healthier" to eat leaner cuts of meat, and add a fat source like avocado, etc; but it's the fat from the meat like a ribeye, pork shoulder, or chicken thighs, etc that makes them taste so much better. Sometimes we need to focus on taste, and be allowed to enjoy our meals.

Every week your changing, I guess it depends on who's paying you. Keto, Mediterranean, carnivore now ancestral. In a month you should be vegan
@jasonhurst85992 жыл бұрын
Carneto > Ketovore. It sounds much cooler, plus if the protein aspect (aka the CARNIVORE portion) of the meal is the most important part of the meal, it's only fair that it receives top billing. With the KETO aspects (fat, veggies, fruit, etc) filling in the rest. Thus CARNivore + kETO = CARNETO. It sounds neato. Ketovore sounds more like the type of person who eats a Carneto diet. i.e. That bear is a Herbivore; that cougar (4 legged variety) is a Carnivore; she eats a Carneto diet, so she is a Ketovore.

@@hobble_dehoy they say 4 oz a week is adequate im betting eating a liver steak once a week is healthy. Only way to know for sure is eat liver consistently for about 3-6 months and and get a blood test for vitamin A levels. To make a strong point about the toxicity of liver. One polar bear liver has enough vitamin A to kill 50 people. Science fact, and granted cow/calf liver isnt polar bear liver, it still possesses enough vitamin A if eaten daily in large quantity to poison you.
