Re eggs: I recently found a local store which sells supplies and feed to people with tiny home gardens /chicken coops. Anyway, they stock and sell meat and eggs from more local farmers than my farmers market. Being local, they are fresher and cheaper than Vital Farms and you can even go visit the farms sometme to see how the chickens are actually pasture raised and see that their supplemental feed is actually certified organic or at least non-GMO. I recommend checking to see if there is a store like this in your city. Also, the eggs at Whole Foods and most grocery stores are a scam and someone should start a class-action lawsuit IMO. Unless you get "pastured raised", you are better off buying eggs at Aldi or elsewhere for around 50¢ a dozen. All these "cage-free" and "free-range" and "vegetarian fed" (the worst) eggs are truly just marketing lies made to extort money and should be illegal. Choice should be 100% pastured, or cheapest possible.

I'm a little perplexed about the eggs. Our hens stop laying late October-early November when the days get shorter. You can force them to lay all year round using artificial light, but then they stop laying after a couple years and usually get killed for being non-productive. So, for the sake of the environment, and for the sake of the actual hens, is it right for us to be eating eggs all year round? If they are pasture raised do they light up the whole pasture outdoors, or just light up their coop at night when they go inside to sleep? In the winter, in our area, there's no sense in keeping them on pasture, there's nothing there for them to eat, plus predators are far more hungry in the winter. We usually eat a lot less eggs November thru March. Maybe chicken keepers in other areas have a different experience??

How do you add bulk to your meals? a bag of broccoli for the whole week, for 3 people? I think there is nothing wrong with adding greens, whole grains and beans for bulking the meals and making you feel satiated. For example, I won't feel satiated if I eat beef and greek yogurt for lunch/dinner. I want a big plate full of different flavors. For example, for breakfast I eat: whole grain, greens, eggs, cheese, avocado. For lunch a have a stew/soup with beans/peas, veggies and meat/sardines (I don't cook the sardines, I just add them afterwords). For dinner, I ll have some chocolate, berries and nuts with raw honey and nut butter, and call it a day.

Whole milk yogurt, whole milk dairy, grass fed if you can find it. I do drink grass fed (100%) milk because it is low on the glycemic value and it is high quality fat for a budget friendly price. Remember milk is a complete meal in and of itself never consume milk with a meal, because you're actually consuming 2 meals at once. I will have a glass of milk with 4 eggs for breakfest, and I get a 4 to 6 hour sation from the combination. Although I am not counting ketones, I aim for fat adaption. Keep in mind to drink milk warm as cold milk is very hard on the stomach.

I really appreciate this grocery shopping you have done here! I love myth busting. Ask me anything lol. I have spent hours researching and reading labels at grocery stores and breaking down every ingredient to the molecular level for many nights and asking so many annoying questions for shoppe workers without any clues to answers from them. Found my own answers. It can make a person feel really nuts especially when shopping with anyone that doesn't realize the importance of eating and how to eat. I've had a passion for nutrition, cooking and food since I was super small and this video means the world! I'd like to help the WIC program utilize this information to serve the pregnant and nursing mothers in a much better way. I think it's EXTREMELY important to help raise our children to learn and love to eat well! It's nice to know I've been on the right track since I was young, maybe 8 years old. Other kids my age could have died for a happy meal from McDonald's. I could have died for some very strange veggie dish that I didn't know existed at that time. I didn't grow up with internet, television or even a phone. I am obviously new to youtube, less than six months lol. I grew up growing our food. You know the source down to the soil and environment in which you're planting your seeds. Also, the source of the seeds. It's sadness to go to the store when you aren't able to grow and raise food anymore due to living in the city and see no food there. I've taught myself all I know by listening to my body and mind. I have to encourage you all to listen to your bodies. I think I sound ridiculous but this video made me tear up slightly. It's super important and it's important to me to help the ones close to us suffering health wise and to them get on board to help themselves! It took me 10 years to finally convince my mother to drink water instead of Coca Cola so this is super motivating! This is proof that if you are on a budget you can still feed your family better! I spend about $150-$200 weekly for groceries. I think American folks associate quantity with grocery shopping too much and could perhaps be put off spending that amount of money and come out with 2 or 3 bags of groceries. Completely understandable. I cant stress enough how important quality over quantity is much better. No matter how scary it can be be. I think you are smart and able enough to help bring relief through a video to the anxieties of folk with larger families living in poverty states. I live in one and see plenty of people left with no choice and they aren't sure how to help make it different. This video is a glimmer of hope that I didn't realize was ever possible. Living here. Everyone watches KZbin. Everyone from all over. I feel like a decent amount of content comes from Cali or New York or somewhere. I think a lot of folks feel a bit left behind in the famished states such as Arkansas and Missouri for instance. No one can help where they were born. Lately I have been developing recipes to create everything from scratch in your refrigerator. Why shouldn't we? You can make your own pasta, mayo, ketchup, mustard, chicken stock, broth cream of chicken, tomato sauce a few simple things to list that most everyone has in the frig, anything. Curry! Homade pizza! Mozzarella is easy to make as well. I don't like ketchup lol. Do all to cut the cost. Cooking is also fun and therapeutic. Thank you very much!! Let's get on board with helping the pregnant woman! I'm super glad Whole Foods didn't kick you guys out, you are absolutely doing good things!!

I really enjoy these videos. I sit in my chair and take notes. I would enjoy watching food prep after a grocery run. How you combine your ingredients to make a delicious meal.

One thing I've noticed with most videos re: Keto from various people. No one seems to talk about how to do Keto when one is intolerant/allergic to gluten and dairy. Like myself (but not celiac). Would you be so kind as to consider doing a video or two like that?

Arizzona Online Most keto food has no gluten. If you just eat food and not keto products then you’re not eating gluten if it’s a keto food. For dairy, you can just exclude it. I don’t eat either and have no issues eating keto.

watch paul mason's lectures, dr jason fung's lectures, dr eric berg's mini talks. aged dairy from Europe are much better loaded with vitamin K2 and probiotics. You can eliminate dairy from your keto. It is automatic gluten free unless you eat plan proteins as a vegan for vegan keto.

I am not sure if you already covered this there are so many good videos. What about showing us how you make those meals for which you are shopping. Portion size, preparations and overall carb, fat and protein counts per those plates compared to what you would consider appropriate for staying on keto. Thanks.

I'm skeptical of chicken that is fed a vegetarian diet. Chickens are NOT vegetarians. My parents raised chickens and I've seen what they eat when free to roam. They will eat just about anything - bugs, grubs, small lizards, seeds, etc. What is the benefit of a vegetarian diet?
