Yeah, I like how they've placed their own spin on DNA testing as well. There's so much to gain from both of them! If you can, get a friend or a family member to help you so that you can get tested & navigate around your results.

So my dad never knew his dad and I just want to see what parts of the world both sides of my family came from. Would either one be fine for that or is Ancestry better in that regard?

@@rightofcl Ancestry updates their system frequently. As time goes by, you'll see more communities represented in their database.

Ralph K Unfortunately, there aren't any African regions at this time. I hope that will change in the near future. I wonder what genetic community they'll put my African friends if they took the test? Hmmm 🤔

23andMe is the best for ancestral composition. They have the largest sample size & report things on confidence levels. This is on Oprah's favorite things 2017 list. Everyone buys this test.
