Awesome, you guys are right those bullhead have a weird strong bite 🤣next time bring some jigs with you and some steel leaders, those gar will bite right through fishing line. The Longnose gar use to attack my floats while i was walleye fishing reeling in and bite my line off.

Y’all are holding some great T-bone steaks in your hands. Those are some of the best tasting catfish a person can put on their plate. Batter with yellow corn meal salt and pepper and fry those babies. I’d rather have those than a channel cat or blue cats. Y’all should give them a try. If not send them to me. Thanks for all y’all’s videos they are so good and look very fun being together with the person you love. Can’t beat that. The woman I married actually lied to me about her loving fishing and hunting so I no longer have anyone to share my love of the outdoors with. Thanks again for reminding me on what I missed out on.

I caught a large bowfin (grinnel) in 6-7 lb range in Bayou Bodcau in south Arkansas years ago. Was bass fishing with artificial worm and thought I had the best bass I ever had...fought harder than a bass...caught many more over the years but was only one on artificial lure.
@danieldetrick1230 Жыл бұрын
Those bowfin or "blackfish in nc" do fight hard. Caught many here in the Tarheel state creeks. Lots of gar too in the same places. On lures or cut up bluegill.

Down here in Tennessee we call bowfin Grinnal I hope I spelled that right I have call a lot of them them in the Harpeth River mostly on cut bait. I’ll caught one or two on swim baits.
@ronniejohnson317 Жыл бұрын
We called them Chugheads . I have not eaten them but my grandma used to can them for winter. With 11 kids, they ate everything they raised, caught or killed.
@ronniejohnson317 Жыл бұрын
We called the bowfin, a grinnel. If you want to catch one of those, take a brand new, favorite buzz bait and throw it for the biggest bass you have ever seen. That’s when you will get it to bite,… and destroy the new bait and any chance of getting the big bass.
