In this clip: Sarah Jessica Parker and Ashlie Elizabeth Atkinson.
About this clip: Carrie gets a proposition from her editor on her book which she works upon burning the midnight oil. Amanda, the editor, eggs her on for a glimmer of hope in the book in the form of an epilogue which doesn't disappoint the hopeful readers, reminding us of Lily Martin and Courtney Masterson from the Clearwater Press. A toe-dip in the dating pool suggested by Amanda reminds us also of Gabe Manning from Carrie's pre-marital book-writing days.

I find it pretty rude of that woman telling Carrie to go on a date when her husband only been dead less than a year. No one should ever force you to start dating after your spouse has passed away. That should be their choice when they feel they're ready to. Grieve isn't something people can get over. If I was Carrie, I’d tell her to go do one. 🖕

I think the biggest bummer of reading a book about experiencing love and lost would be reading about a crappy first date after the fact.

You can tell Patricia Fields isn't doing the wardrobing anymore. Bad enough they have horrible writers, but the fashion left the building as well. SJP looks like a designer thrift store bin diver gone wrong.

Her husband died and left a million dollars to some x wife. So obviously, Carrie is super rich and this publisher won’t be speaking to her she is a nobody. She is author Carrie Bradshaw.

@@SEXANDTHECITYCLIPS I ended up watching up to episode 5. After the Che/Rambo kitchen scene, I was out. Now I just hate watch occasional clips posted online and your fantastic commentary! One other ‘AJLT’ recap/commentary channel I have recently found that I enjoy is by a guy named ‘Diego Knows’. He has a very non-PC, ‘real’ take on the show from a guy’s perspective. Check it out if you get a chance. The two of you should do a collab! His latest vid on the show ruining ‘Eye of the Tiger’ is classic!

Right? I thought having Big die was such a bold but smart move on the part of the writers because it liberated relationship-obsessed Carrie and made her a more independent woman who could live life irrespective of men (and, therefore, a more appropriate character for the 2021 social climate), but it seems like the show is headed in a reductive direction with her seeking out romance with a new man. 💁

i hope the people that make the show read this what was dumb in the revival was that nobody knew who carrie was. shes a celebrated writer, had a column, was in vogue magazine, a wedding on page 6, and now she has another book they want to fast track. There should have been scenes of people being like omg carrie bradshaw. Not pretending shes a nobody play with her celebrity

When Carrie starts reading Chapter 3 of her book she mentions Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3. There was no orchestra at that live concert at The Manhattan School of Music when Lily played that fateful night when Big died. Just wanted to point that out. A big mistake from the writers. Lily performs the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven the 3rd mvt.

😲 Wow.The breathtaking beautiful intro of her sitting in the window is absolutely gorgeous. It's hopeful. Well done. Perfection. You think it might snap back on track... After living an entire Life in Manhattan... I think that she would have a network.(???!!!) Between her friends, and all the connections made, a very gentle, supportive, dinner party, barbecue, picnic in a park, that might include a few unmarried known adults. To send this woman on the internet to scroll through the catalog, is crudely insensitive. Risky. Someone could have scripted a much better introduction into this arena. Charlotte has a home,a husband. With Peers. Harry could have wrestled up a group of friends to come over. This would have been a safe platform for anyone faced with the awkward situation. Hideous that she should wind up hurling the contents of her evening on the sidewalk, alongside the stranger she shared it with. This grossness wasn't needed. Cheaper to film, perhaps. Rewind:She met Berger on a walk in the park. (Also not safe according to current conditions) Let's Auction her off on an auction block? Beyond degrading. And she felt it. She's not 30 and thinking this is amusing She is shaky right now and those wings are not ready to fly. She needs to be in a supportive cocoon. It's not about Carrie, per se. It's a statement of how you feel about Any Person that has quested for love their whole life, found it, and suddenly with no warning,it is taken away. How would We want to be handled? This series paints a society that seems clueless, crude and awkwardly dismissive. General population seem to have Digressed. Newcomers are applauded. Why????? SEEMA: deserves to be a heroine (?) for being Deceptive and disdainful towards her parents? She trivializes them, their concern for her, making a mockery out of her Parents, who want her to marry ,so she invents this whole farce to appease them. Anthony: doing his utmost to disgrace the memory of his partner. Miranda should be analyzed for mental illness. She lost her heart, as well as any compass of what is right. Mental sharpness? Being a lawyer, that whole strange interaction in the classroom has me wondering if she has early onset Alzheimer's. She used to have a sense of justice-and that has flown out the window. Where is herr sense of fair play? She weighed in on Carrie's fairness in her dealings... Indignant at sitting in a restaurant being stood up by Carrie. Now she feels it's acceptable to desecrate carries kitchen itself? Whilel Carrie in bed completely dependent on her for the most basic functions? How intrusive. Did anyone find this amusing? Any boss of any gender were to come to an employee's house and carry on like this, should cause an Uproar. Experimenting? Would be:they ate up all her ice cream and made some liquor concoction, broke the blender and used up all the ice cubes......So distracted she had no choice but to pee the bed. That warrants an Awkward apology, but forgiven and understood. This doesn't make the cut. There is: Stepping on the line. There's overstepping the line. And there is stomping the boundary. This was total Desecration and Crushing of boundaries. On the other hand, the comment section seems to Applaud a lot of it. Others seem to be appalled. Many are taking it as 'no biggie'... While there's a warring against others that dare disagree. There is a total division. Series made sure it did NOT🚫 bring out the best in any of its original cast. They're all Bonkers. Thrown it's viewers into a chaotic frenzy, The descent is palpable. During the free fall, they're trying to make some sense of it by their clawing and attacking each other if they dissent. Quite a Social statement. It almost seems as if it was an experiment. To gauge the moral compass. It seems broken. Crushed. To have had control over this creative mess, you would think that round table would have scrapped much of it .... STOPPED 🛑 this packaging of Raunch that will bewilder the viewers. This could have been Charming. They could have brought old suitors back. She could have met them, organically, at the farmers market. Made amends. To Aiden. Reflected on her past mistakes. Respected their current lives and partners. We would have been on the edge of our seat rooting for them! Miranda Called Carrie out for being unethical along the journey. NONE of those lessons seem to have stayed with her. Lawyer mind? I think everyone yearned to walk the streets of Manhattan in their shoes. Vicariously. Jobs have closed down. Careers have ended in the past 2 years. The Farmers market (where she argues with Steve)is directly across the street from my place of employment of 20 years. They get to go on, yet they are sabotaging Past Present and future.. How is this benefitting anyone? Is this uplifting? Inspiring? It's no. It's just throwing and leftovers and mixing them up and everything that expired in the fridge should have gone out in the garbage, they added rancid, spoiled ingredients and they made one big toxic pot of stew out of it. Revolting.
