Let me tell you whats gonna happen to Maranda on Ep 9. She's gonna find Che, sleeping with someone else (cause she CLEARLY didn't pay attention when she told her she cant give her anything Traditional). Not to mention her reacting when she just defused, and shut down Maranda when she told her she never told Steve about their fooling arounds. *Che is open, and don't love anyone but herself. Let's keep it real* Maranda is going to be destroyed, heartbroken and confused, because she's chasing someone who isn't attainable 100% I am very proud of her for leaving Steve though. Bout That Time.

@@yeetnama9094 Its terrible whats happening, but I dont think the writers are terrible. At least with this Mirandas storyline. Its like we are bystanders to our own friends making an obvious mistake in their relationship. They are going full-steam ahead into disaster, they acknowledge our concerns --just like Miranda saying she gets what Che is saying and doesn't want Traditional-- but we the viewers are seeing her denial and manic grab into a relationship with Che. We follow easily along with this like I can with same repeated pattern of my own friends. In this series, everyone else and even the viewers see whats really happening, the last to know is Miranda. to her own drinking problem to her love life

It's been 20 years y'all. People change. But I will say I feel bad for Miranda. She didn't think it through. She is gonna be so let down by che. Che is openly queer and polyamorous and at least 10 years Miranda's Junior. Miranda says she doesn't want traditional but she does. She just wants it with che. She's gonna get to Cleveland and see che with her other partner and feel hurt because she wants Che to herself and that's not how che operates. She said she was in love with you. Not that she only wanted you. She should've told Steve that she wanted to be able to see che and go on dates with her from time to time. That would've been a much better proposal than divorce. She's impulsive

This scene was a TOTAL cringe fest. Che is making is blatantly clear that she does NOT want a relationship, but Miranda's midlife crisis on steroids has made her so beyond delusional that she thinks she's just going to leave Steve and live happily ever after with Che. She's about to be in for a MASSIVE reality check and it's not going to be pretty. The damage has already been done with Steve. After this, I highly doubt that he is going to be sitting around waiting for Miranda to come running back to him.

No you're totally right. Unfortunately too many ppl see others as disposable and i think Miranda used to see and treat Steve this way (they all treated guys like that in the original series tbh) but that was when she was in her prime ... and even then unlike Carrie or even Charlotte, she didn't have alot of options who took her seriously. I said earlier on another post that Miranda always acted like she was settling for Steve even though he was a great kind guy w ambition and he was fun. But she was wrong. Steve had options, many of them younger than himself. No one was banging down Miranda's door proclaiming she was the love of their life. No one but Steve. Now she's older and she's willingly jumping into a world she doesn't understand w ppl younger than she is who see her as way more disposable than she ever saw Steve. Che is poly and knows what they want and it isn't what Miranda wants. Itll be fun at first, but if Miranda doesnt act right Che isn't gonna put up with Miranda's neurotic nonsense. There are way too many fish in the sea and no one thinks that crap is cute but Steve. Normal ppl who HAVEN'T spent a life growing with her and dedicated to her will just find it annoying. She wrecked her own home and I hope she lands on her feet and is happy w her choices in the long run, but honestly im way more invested in Steve and I hope he's alright and I hope he doesn't let this break him bcos he's a great guy and always has been.

Well you gotta rememebr Brady was never really part of her plan. I love Miranda and seeing her like this makes me so sad cos I think this is kinda realistic even tho it's dysfunctional and yucky to me. Alot of women seem to go thru this. Just look at reddit 💀💀 Miranda i guess felt like she was drowning and back then, Steve was security and also partnership w the load of motherhood. Now she's still drowning and Che feels like a safety raft. But they aren't imo. I guess this is worth more to Miranda than what she (unintentionally) built a Steve. And that makes me sad cos i love Steve, he's amazing and always was. She's spiralling and i think that shows even more considering she also gave up her career that she loved and worked for so long and hard... and for what? I hope both Miranda and Steve and up happy even if they don't end up together, cos I know che really isn't bothered by all this and as soon as Miranda starts annoying them they'll sever ties w her and move on to someone else and Miranda will be drowning again. Steve deserves better than to be treated as a life raft again tho.

Think, writers. The real Miranda would never have begged for love from a man who was so blatantly non-monogamous. And if she wouldn’t humiliate herself for a dude, why would she humiliate herself for a woman or enby lover? Is this the message AJLT wants to send? That discovering your bisexuality makes you desperate and cringe? AJLT will never be canon for me, and this scene is just one of the many reasons why.

Miranda is destroying+discarding her marriage to be with someone she barely knows and is jumping into a completely different relationship dynamic while shes obviously going through some sort of identity crisis (not talking about her secksuality, but everything her career, her purpose, her age, etc) I think this would be healthy if Miranda hadn't been a panicked and neurotic from the very beginning of And Just Like That (and also hinting at alcoholism) Also,(I know this is optimistic) if Steve, her primary partner was okay with opening their relationship and having them both explore other ppl and different dynamics. She should've been having convos like this and more w not only Steve, but her girlfriends and it's sad to see that she somehow seems so isolated w this seemingly solid support system. Miranda has been scaring me since the first epi of AJLT and I genuinely just wanna hug her and let her know it's gonna be okay and it's okay to feel lost and it's okay for the world to change around you, and its okay for her to change too, but she's not changing, she's unravelling VERY quickly and it looks like she's gonna be burning bridges while she does it (Steve) and it's really scary to witness.

Remember the first two or three seasons of this show? The ones with witty dialogue and relatable, realistic, non-irritating characters? I miss that show. This iteration is soooo incongruous with the first. It's like all the women have regressed completely.

I can watch Season 1 over and over again. It's funny because the production team ditched the monologues in Season 2 and onward. They felt it was out of touch. But Season 1 is so timeless. You can watch it in any year and it's still relevant.

I feel like we absolutely left the real Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha back in the 90's/early 200's. These ghosts of characters are being inhabited by a totally different story/vision if that makes sense. The dialogues about sex and relationships in the first show, whatever you thought of them, were mainly consistent. The forced woke ness and inauthentic representation is driving me nuts. I totally get how you feel about season 1, I've been thinking the rewatch it just to clear my brain out from all this.

Miranda will never be satisfied no matter who she’s with. Once she catches Che with someone else she’ll want to be possessive and exclusive. Miranda said she’s in love with someone and they said they’re not traditional. When you love someone eventually you’ll find that you won’t want to share them.

So disappointed in this remake. They have made caricatures of these women. It's like they did a Rip Van Winkle and are now suddenly awake and back in the real world, looking frightful and dealing with all this stuff. Not allowed to process. Not allowed to question. Just expected to accept or be trashed. On top of all that, we have Miranda enacting a painful mid-life crisis. It is insulting to women in this age group, everywhere. Not to mention embarrassing. Carrie's dreadful hair and clothes, Charlotte's cosmetic surgery (which she did not need), Miranda's behaviour. How do they expect viewers to accept that any of these women would allow themselves to turn out like this? Kim Cattrall did the right thing by steering clear of this train wreck.

It can definitely happen that someone has a sexual awakening at a later point in life or simply that at some point they find themselves being attracted to someone they wouldn't have considered as an option before. The annoying thing about this case is only that you see Miranda acting nothing like herself. I would expect her to be surprised and maybe act differently because of that, but being so hopelessly needy? Who the hell changes like this during their life, especially someone who has always been so rational and, even, cynical! Miranda becoming what she always made fun of is the problem with this new storyline and what has fans disappointed. Plus, the fact that Che seems a bit toxic and Miranda would never be attracted by someone with that kind of character.

You misspelled Miranda. 💀💀💀 But seriously Che has been honest about their poly relationship dynamics, who they are, what they want out of life, what they can give a partner and their expectations from them. These are All good things and healthy when it comes to dating, regardless of if someone is poly or monogamous. Straight or LGBT. You may not like it or agree w it, but honestly and authenticity are core values of Che's and I'm happy to see they dumped Miranda earlier when they realized she had disregarded their boundary and was dishonest and a cheater. I don't necessarily like Che's personality, but similar to Steve, they're too good for Miranda.

First acting is terribly bad (although these two used to be fantastic actresses, what happened?!), second Miranda looks everything but being herself, she seems like some lunetic who just went out from mental hospital, third I don't understand Che's logic when she says ,,the situation is not okay for me" as if she wants the serious relationship with Miranda having her only for herself. that's how Che presents the whole situation and ,,I'm in love with you" part. Later in another scene she tells her ,,we are not either dating, you are not my girlfriend" after Miranda threw away her whole marriage for this!? So Che is basically trying to look fair on the outside with all these words but she is the opposite, she is selfish, because you don't play you care for someone and saying you are in love with them when you don't want to neither date them? hahahaha Miranda where have you left your brain and any piece of sanity?!
