That heart fact near the end is legit. When I had my heart attack, I barely knew it was happening. My wife just happened to say I looked off. My plan was to lay down and drink some water. She said I started sweating and looked bad so she called the ambulance. I had some slight chest pain, but it was nothing dramatic at all. EMS came, gave me some aspirin and took me in. Heart attack started in earnest at the hospital, but only knew because they kept doing tests. I felt NO DIFFERENT.

The part about Tutankamun is only partially true. His tomb would have been robbed if it weren't for the fact that the entrance had become obscured and eventually used as a dumping ground for excess dirt and rock from other tombs in the area. Even in the New Kingdom, no one was really sure where Tut's tomb was located. Also, King Tut is also dismissed as being a minor ruler only by those not familiar with Egyptian history. Tut was ruling during a very turbulent time called the Armarna Period at the end of the 18th Dynasty, were there was a great confusion about who would rule Egypt, because Akenaten had moved the capital further north and built a new capital city Aketaten. Since the power base established by the New Kindgom pharaohs was in Upper Egypt, moving the capital north nearly started a civil war. King Tut was the ruler who moved the capital back back to Thebes and re-established the Old Gods, especially Amun-Re, which prevented the Egyptian kingdom from being splinted by another long and bloody civil war.

There's also an issue with the idea of rulers in Egypt being minor in that it was very common for the next pharaoh, if they were of no relation or opposed the acts of the predecessor, to attempt to wipe any trace of the previous pharaohs existence. Discarded stonework shows that many pharaohs existed that we have little information about now, but the next guy who came along totally destroyed everything they tried to make.
@Unknown172 жыл бұрын
Everything you wrote was precisely what I was thinking while I listened to the narrator trying to downplay Tutankhamen. Changing the nation’s capital and its religion are not the accomplishments of some minor role-player. Having said that, I admire Akhenaten more. This guy made a really risky transition to monotheism that was bold beyond belief. He had the courage of his convictions, didn’t he? And why not? Remove a plant from the sunlight, and it dies. Surely the sun is actually imparting life on a minute-by-minute basis. Sounds like a god to me!

Also, if you need any proof that a “good attitude” can help your survival, read Ernest Shackleton, Frank Wild and Frank Worsley’s accounts of their 1914 Antarctic expedition. For those who don’t know, Shackleton, Worsley and Wild managed to successfully escape Antarctica on two lifeboats after their ship was crushed by ice and sank. They ran into problems and misfortune at every step- most people would have been driven insane or given up. But these men managed to keep a positive attitude and overcame almost insurmountable odds. Everyone survived. There is so much more to the story and it’s incredibly interesting and inspiring. It had a profound effect on me.

Slight correction to the thing about emergency numbers from cell phones: 112 is *THE* emergency number from a cell phone. It's not just the EU, it's worldwide. 911 works, but only if you're using a phone that was either manufactured for sale in the US, or has 911 programmed into it as one of its emergency numbers. But it doesn't just go straight through to 911; it recognises the number as an emergency number, which causes the phone to _actually_ call 112, which in turn is redirected to the emergency number for wherever you are. Even if that's the same number you dialled, your call will get redirected twice before it goes through. If you just dial 112, the call is only redirected once, which can save a couple of seconds, and it will _always_ work if there's a signal on any network. Just dialling 911 won't necessarily unlock the phones ability to access any available network, which means it can sometimes fail if your own network has no signal or you're dialing without a SIM card, when 112 would have worked. There's literally no advantage to dialling your local emergency number instead of 112. Most of the time it's just a little bit slower, and every now and then it won't work. Always use 112.

Regarding 1:38:38, I've essentially decided that attempting to interact with my biological father is a waste of time and emotions and it's easier to just ignore my mothers husband, basically putting me in a position where I have no adult male figure in my life and that's fine. I lived like that for years and it only got worse when mom got a new man 10 years ago because my family was functioning fine without a father figure and he stepped in, convinced we would automatically think of him as a father figure. Me and neither of my siblings enjoy him being around and one barely tolerates being in the same room as him because he overstepped his boundaries a decade ago.

There were some technical problems with the prosecution's case that could have very well resulted in an acquittal. I've never had an issue with my place in the world ....I'd be happy just living a life I enjoy I don't need to be remembered, wouldn't want to be....I'm here for my life and that's it why doesnt matter if im remembered....I never understood that mentality. Do what makes you happy, make a good life and do what you want because at the end of the day no one cares really and probably never will....that may sound depressing but for me it is ultimately freeing. My goal is to keep my family business going ....an achievable goal. That's not to say I won't take opportunities as they are presented to me but ultimately that's my goal in life...to provide for my family and keep what my father started going until my.kid takes over if that's what he wants. I will never force him like "this is your destiny" kinda crap...if he wants it I'll take him under my wing when he's old enough....if he wants to pursue his own dream then that's awesome too.. again it comes down to if you care what others think even after your dead...the sooner you see that is a stupid thing to worry about.....man it's freeing. No one cares and probably never will that doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

Should probably add the reason king tut never had his tomb robbed was because he died before his official royal tomb was finished, which meant he was instead placed in a tomb that would normally have been occupied by a lesser person, meaning tomb robbers never bothered robbing it cause they didn't think anything of value would be in there.

Technically the fact about losing eyesight after one eye goes blind it’s not random any time you get a injury to a eye you risk the chances of your immune system attacking it and causing you to go blind if you are blind in one eye you have high chances of losing the other cuz the immune system is basically aware (and for some reason the immune system if it ever discovers our eyes it’s not programmed to think “aye we need these”)
@THEsexymexi212 жыл бұрын
It's cause our eyes have their own, separate immune system, and if the two ever discovered one another, they'd be programmed to eliminate each other because they'd see each other as outside forces working on the body and anytime the immune system sees that it will work until failure to kill whatever isn't supposed to be there. Also carry the tub of jelly in case you run out (it can be rubbed on almost any dry material for fire). It's less than half the weight of the candle and 1000x more effective as tinder in all weathers. Source: I have used this multiple times to start fires when camping and it's completely foolproof. Gets the fire fuelled faster than traditional tinder and the tiniest spark will catch it. Carrying large and heavy objects when you could be carrying small lightweight ones is a death sentence.
